Thank God for this channel overall, it has showed me a lot of good music after years of stagnation

I wouldn't call this band completely gent, I would say they're definitely from metalcore roots, and have implemented little pieces of djent here and there especially in their newer stuff which this is not. I'm really impressed with after the burial, if you haven't heard of them, they're one of those bands that didn't quite catch my attention right off and then I accidentally listen to them in depth and was thoroughly impressed after years of not being so. A good generic power song to start with just to get a feel for them it's called lost in the static. However, that song stands alone in their library, and their albums offer something more than anything found in that song

So I heard that this band has the previous singer of The Contortionist as the vocalist now. I love the Contortionist and I love music so I'm here and holy cow this is amazing! Anyway, apologies I do not want to compare your music to that band even if i do love them. I think your music is phenomenal and it sounds like you're all working hard to create your own sound. The lyrics are powerful and I really appreciate that you guys aren't just sticking to chug chug chug breakdowns and there is a lot intriguing rhythms on the bass and drums going on behind the tapping melodies on the guitars. I'm not a music theory person even though I study music and I'm still learning a lot. but I can hear a lot of beautiful resolutions that make my ears happy. when it gets to 1:55 I was really stoked with the way it all came together. I love surprises in this genre and yeah that was surprising in a pleasing way. Honestly it is not very easy to describe but that's a compliment !
