Wellsville Ohio Memorial Day Weekend 2024 - Red Bird Carnage, Chicken Coop, Hell Trail, Slab Rock
Many things have changed over the years, different vehicles, different friends, but going to Wellsville for Memorial Day Weekend has been a constant for me for over 15 years. There is something about the atmosphere there that draws me in. This video shows a pretty standard representation of wheeling in Wellsville. Struggles from rough terrain, Good people always willing to lend a hand, and the amazing since of accomplishment from making it out of the woods after a good battle.
We are just some off-roaders that love to be out there meeting great people in the woods and enjoying the rigs that we have put our blood, sweat and tears into. We are documenting our journey along the way so that we have some great video's and memories to look back on. I hope anyone else that sees this enjoy's the video as much as we do.

One of the most famous views from the Wellsville Ohio trails. This one is known as "Lookout". It's got an amazing view overlooking the Ohio river and Mountaineer Racino. The view shown is a pull away displaying just how high up you really are from up there!

Havoc Jeep first rollover. This happened at the Spring 2016 Stillwell Stomper Jamboree. This happened 20 minutes into the day, we rolled it back over and wheeled the rest of the day. No Damages from the roll.

After slamming a rock pretty hard at the top of a hill while climbing. Enough to yank the steering wheel violently out of my hands. I noticed that fun hissing sound.

Nice vid. Heading there in Sept. Nice to see you folks on quads instead of sxs's. I've had both. Back to a two up cfmoto cforce 600. Perfect for the gf and I. Typical sxs behavior now a days. They ruined a lot of trails down here in Florida. Glad you had fun!
Our Hatfield trips our some of our favorite ones, no matter what machines we are on but i've been annoyed by the sxs mentality out there. Hope that CFmoto treats you good. Have fun!

You'll have to look them up. They are Michigan's State trails and there are a few of them within about 45min to an hour away.

Hey Mark! I use to go there back in the late 70's. Had a 67 international scout. nothing would stop it. Then in 1980 I had a 72 cj 5 with 304 . not much would stop that.

how do you like the km2?
+Seth Brodacz He is still running the same set and they have held up great. Good road manners. Seem to be pretty good on the rocks. Any thick mud like clay packs them up pretty quick.
+Running925 the packing them up like clay part is what worries me. I currently have 35" general grabber at2 on my land cruiser and anytime it gets muddy they turn into sleds and I get stuck. Having transfer case lock and front and rear lockers I should have the issues I have with the general grabbers. I've been looking at the km2s but do not want to have a similar issue when the trails get muddy.
i would say they wouldn't pack full half as fast as the grabbers. If you really need something for mud, we've had great luck with the nitto mud grapplers. Downfall is, the better the tire is in the mud, the more noise it will make on the road.
I am not too concern about road noise.The cruiser is not a dd. I'm contemplating getting h1 deadlock with super swampers.

+monster1999ken That book is about 10-15 years old. I'm not sure if they still make one. I'd check with the people that sell the permits.

Open diffs. No momentum. You can only approach a hill like that in a rover.

I don't understand this. He's trying to get up a steep muddy hill. So he slows down at the bottom, loses all momentum, uses maybe half throttle, and stops half way up the hill. Also 15psi in a stiff sidewall radial like the km2 is way too much in a light vehicle like a jeep. 8-10 psi in the tires, and foot to the floor. Walk up that little bump with ease. Noobs :(

@jjenson2006 Probably, it was dark and there were about 10 people with their hands in this project so i don't really remember. Also, this footage is probably about 6 months old, i just finally got around to throwin the video together.

Yeah it's amazing how little video and pictures do to show the steepness of stuff. The videos I got at rausch creek made everything look so tame and in reality there were some pretty nasty spots. Plus people don't realize either just how limiting open diffs are. With even a rear LSD that yj probably would have went right up over that hill.
