1941年５月20日にドイツ空軍によるクレタ島と空挺作戦だ。ドイツ第８航空軍団は巡洋艦２隻、４隻の駆逐艦の 連合軍艦船を撃沈したが、クレタ島の３か所に降下したが、イギリス連邦軍やギリシャ軍が守備している堅固な 陣地に降下したため、3000人の降下猟兵のうち、約4500人が戦死・行方不明となり、272機の輸送機が撃墜また は修理不能となる大損害を被った。同島守備の連合軍将兵は６月１日、１万6000人が撤退することができたが、 降下猟兵司令官シュツーテント上級大将は「クレタ島はドイツ空挺隊の墓場だった」と言ったという。 ドイツ空軍はこのクレタ島作戦を最後に大規模な空挺作戦を行う事はなく、降下猟兵は地上戦闘に投入され。 消耗していく。

the title indicates the Großdeutschland division but footage shows Waffen SS Soldiers probably from das Reich Division
GD wasn’t an SS Division and so didn’t have their runes on the helmet.
They fought alongside the 3. SS-Panzerdivision 'Totenkopf' during this time. That soldier with SS runes must be from that division.
Youre correct Grossdeutschland was Wehrmacht the premier unit of the German army, NOT SS.
Saw a Russian picture once,of a couple of dead German soldiers lying on stretchers set in the middle of the floor in a wooden house? The caption said they had been "wounded". Both were barefoot. One of them had a long gash right across his forehead. Like he had been jammed with an entrenching tool or shovel. Their position must have been overrun. And that was it. These films don't show you things like that.
