Post-Stroke Postural Instability: suboptimal truncal control and fear of falling
This video depicts changes in posture and balance as a result of compensatory strategies developed after stroke. Truncal instability, changes in centre of mass and joint positioning all caused by diminished proprioceptive feedback/feedforward and prior history of falls (fear of falling) .

In the fist patient, the doctor should have held the left heel (healthy leg) of the patient to feel if the there is push down force exerted, to counter balance the attempt of raising the affected leg ( by doing that you can know if the effort is genuine or not ).

There are several models of "hand splints for stroke". Now 40 years since my car accident, so I've bought all of these. It helps if you can find excuses for using the damaged hand. As an academic, it was very hard to use my hand. Not enough excuses. On-line retailers (Amazon, Alibaba, eBay, etc) have these brand new, starting from several dollars, US.
What was the electrical stimulation device that was used?

EMS units, the size of smartphones, have inbuilt screen displays, and many inbuilt programs, instructions and attachments. These usually come with rechargeable batteries, which can use with smartphone chargers. Amazon & Alibaba offer many types, costs, and brands, with user comments, and instructional videos on their websites. Further CZcams videos are also available with further guidance.

Extensor Carpi ulnaris is padded. Because the pad is too wide, the adjacent extensor digitorum muscle is also covered by the pad, so both moves at the same time. The problem of muscle adhesion cannot be addressed because the muscle moves at the same time. Based on my experience as a 4-year ischemic stroke survivor, I cut the TENS pad by 1.5 inches so that the target muscle can be isolated and it can glide over the adjoining fascia tissues or muscles.
