I find the brakes on this Densha de Go to be very weak even on the PS2 version. at 100kph the speed comes down very slowly even at brake level 8. On the Chuo Line, you need to start braking for the 65kph speed limit at Shinanomachi just as you pass Setagaya using maximum or near-maximum brake setting to get the speed down in time. The brakes on the same type of train on later titles are much better.
