Macros > Calories. Calories are not nearly transaprent enough nor do they comprehensively or accurately represent what you comsume. Not mad at the effort but the strategy and approach is off
This is the best approach you can take because a calorie surplus is the only way you can gain weight facts

You are right about gluconeogenesis, but that still doesn’t take away the fact that carbohydrates play an important role in the human body.

The seated calf machine will work, your calves, but most of the load will be on your soleus so make sure to implement standing calf raises so you can get a better load on the gastrocnemius and soleus

So, carbs always confuse me…. If I wanna lose weight and build lean muscle at the same time do I have low or high carbs? Or do I up the carbs on strength training day only.
So if you would like the carb cycle yes do that but if you just want to lose weigh you need to be in a calorie deficit carbs cycling can help with the process of building muscle and losing fat
