Its original location was in Constitution Park. 2. Castries Library is never mentioned. It is a Carnegie Library built in 1924 which means that in 2024 it was 100 years old. If you stand by Johnsons Hardware and look up you can still see the original name. 3. The section of Castries between Brazil St and the Castries River survived the Castries Fire. Therefore, the Saint Lucia Development Bank and the rest are not housed in the original buildings. What has happened over the decades is that new buildings have been erected in the colonial style. 4. In 2024 I turned 60 years old and Jn Baptiste Street already existed. I grew up knowing Jn Baptiste Street. Located there was Crick’s Funeral Home, the Blind Welfare Association and a Lumber Yard. Recent it is not. All kudos to Choice TV on an excellent effort!
