San Diego messed up when they let LT go he made that city and you throw him away
LT is most definately a top 10 RB of all time.
He has a great Mother man. She raised him right.
People talk about falling asleep to rain forest documentary. I fall asleep to these. I mean this as a compliment. Love the history.
Came back to watch this again after The Pivot podcast with LaDainian Tomlinson!
Its hard to believe anyone ever doubted LT's abilities as a football player. Just the perfect running back skill set.
I won fantasy football 3 years in a row purely because of this dude.
Why would you get up here and more or less brag about how your ancestor owned 50 slaves. What a biggot and scumbag loser. (Chris Tomlinson, I'd be ashamed of myself.) Chris Tomlinson give it a break about owning slaves and giving them your family name. You are a real piece of crap.
Top 5 RB all time just based off of skill and talent. Even though he didnt win a ring he's a HOF not many can say that.
It takes a wise and seasoned athlete to know when to pull themselves from competition. Most people, even high-level athletes, don't understand that.
That clip at 6:10 is a power move.
The greatest overall RB of all time (take into account his power rushing, and speed). If you were to draw up the perfect-overall back. You would make LT. The man is great. I hope the young bucks respect his play. The dude is the definition of a dawg
My type 5 of all time Imo 1.jim brown 2.barry sanders 3.eric dickerson 4.adrian peterson(skooooooooll) 5.ladanian tomlinson
I remember watching him at TCU that man was a beast
'Our families have been kinda connected'.......yea thats one way of putting it smh, this is why critical race theory is important n should b taught, 'Our families have been together ever since then' yea thats bad my man.
I have watched many of these A Football Life . This is one of the best. LT was my son's all time players He is a class act human being.
I’ve watched a lot of these episodes and this guy by far has the best story and seems like such a great person
I will never forgive Dean Spanos for ruining this franchise and wasting incredible talent by making poor decisions.
I am lifelong Bronco fan but have always loved LaDainian Tomlinson. Having him in the same division wasn't fun but I'm a football fan first. He was one of the greatest running backs ever. He could do it all, run, catch, block and throw for TD's. The best thing about LTII (I'm old, so he's LTII) was who he was/is as a human being. You hear the stories from his Mom and people that knew him in his youth and he was a good person back then. God bless.
As a Raider fan I can state this with meaning. The closest to Barry we have ever seen. One of the greatest to ever do it
My Man!! #LT
Why the slave master?
Great idol, role model, human, and great sportsmanship! Thanks for the positive and memorable moments you gave us LT!
What a great story and a great football player.from winnfield,La❤😅
That hit on Brees when he tore his shoulder was crazy
Did they just say Philip rivers tore his ACL, had surgery, then played the next week?…Does Aaron Rodgers know this? Lmao
Check “Bye bye Barry”
Chargers are just cursed on gawd !!!! Been a fan in 94 and just year after year and even now in l.a. it's just brutal
GOAT
It’s a shame to see and hear San Diegans call him “sell out”. He is a great San Diegan.
There’s an article floating around on the internet showing that Spanos had wanted to move to LA in 2006. #SanDiegoSuperChargers #SpanosStillSucks
⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Why was dad living in a shack and driving a beater truck??
If you didnt tear up @7:20 you arent human
This has always been one of my favorite episodes.
Wow, I knew LT was an all time phenomenal athlete, but he’s an even better human being. When your entire team rallies behind you like that, you know you’re doing something right. I have such a deep respect for individuals are truly exceptional and always remain humble and calm.
He should have turnt around outta nowhere and fired on dude for dem slavery days😂😂😂 Lt da goat💪🏿
Too Smooth! Reminds me of my nephew! Really humble! Cool Life Story!
LT was the best running back in the league in his prime no doubt about it and Neal was a beast full back chargers had a great team in 03-04
How on God's green earth do you as a black man stand there and listen to that man talk about how your ancestors were slaves in a kinda smug, condescending way? This would've had to be done over the phone! Hellllllllllllllll naw
I feel bad that LT wasted most his career on a crappy franchise like the Chargers. Even now that team will never be successful with Dean Spanos as their owner. That man has zero intentions on winning, he only cares about MAKING MONEY smh. As long as Spanos is owner, they will remain cursed.
I can tell you how much of a good role model LT is. You can tell how well a person was raised just from the softness of their tone. He entered the league underrated and no doubt be in the Hall.
They should change the name of that hill. Disgusting, these people are pedophile, rapist, murders n thieves to say the least, n this scum bag off spring is walking around like his ancestors built pyramids 🤦🏾♂️
I was born in 97. He’s the reason I started watching football. Baby blue jersey was fire. Wish the Chargers stayed in San Diego. One of the greatest players to never win a championship.
Who TH is that white guy that keep popping up tlkin bout I use to own you 🤷🏽♂️
they really brought his families slave owner to greet him hahahah man that’s cold
This is the perfect example that a mother with hardships can raise a son to be morally driven, god fearing, responsible and well mannered even with an absent father. LT is the perfect role model on/off the field. I can see Walter Peyton and Emitt Smith’s influences down to the soft spoken tone when he speaks. His mom should be very proud of how her son turned out. I’ve had friends with absent fathers who no doubt would have went down the wrong path if not for having one of those special mothers who were successful in having perfect balance between love and discipline. In today’s society, to raise children to focus on their education and future instead of the streets and negative influences takes “creative” parenting or more accurately “committed” parenting. You can tell how amazing LT’s mother is just by how he conducts himself. Great story
The slave narrative sucked.
Those stories with his mom are heart wrenching.
This dude LT was clearly the best player in the NFL in his prime, he should have won MVP the year he broke the record. Rings are a team achievement, he was a Barry Sanders in San Diego, didn't have a O Line like Emmitt Smith, retired a legend like Calvin Johnson
