Its situational... Guys with young families it will take a toll on you. In order to work a 12/14 hour shift locally CONSISTENTLY, you have to get proper sleep at least 6. So that leaves you with 4-6 hours you have left out that day to bust down.

15 year CDL holder. I think sometimes people dont do enough research or talking to all different kinds of commercial drivers about the different opportunities available in truck driving. When I became an owner operator (box truck) thats when I realized there's so many different ways to make money in trucking. I wish I would've done it 10 years ago
