I personally am not a fan of direct questions from people I’m not close to like are you single, do you have a boyfriend, is there a man in your life etc. It felt like preying on my personal life. The questions or comments that i always fall for are the ones that assume that I had a boyfriend already 😂 For example, something like “that sounds like a long trip, did you boyfriend drive you there?” “You can cook garlic shrimp? I always fall for those by immediately responding “I don’t have a boyfriend” and then go on to address that the main topic in that prior question/comment 😂😂😂

Yeah, I went to my company’s Christmas party alone. Most people showed up with their spouses or girl/boyfriends. I’m single but I don’t really do the other stuff, for example, when I sit at a cafe or read at a bookstore, I don’t sit close to people but far away from them and I don’t look around and expect people to come up and talk to me.
