These Loop Braiding Videos gave me a new obsession a few years ago and recently I started again. And it is absolute incredible how my fingers remember all the movements. I finished my first spanish loop after 5years or so in less than 20 minutes.

How do you get the loop at the beginning?

An odd question, perhaps… Have you ever tried joining different braids side-by side? For example, doing a broad lace of 5 bow on one hand, but a lace bend of 5 on the other?

I learned how to do this in elementary school and my teacher taught me a great hack for maintaining tension - put a safety pin through knot at the top and pin the whole bundle to your own sock. I’ve always done it this way and never lost tension. It’s also the perfect distance from your arms to your ankle, and you can do it sitting on the couch watching a show. 🙂🤓
