in alto sax, if we press which keys together with the octave key, the octave crook key does not go up?

I like that he included the exercise at the end where you switch between staccato and regular tonguing. That seems like it could be pretty helpful for learning how to switch between articulations. Thanks :))

I have a habit of putting my tongue up behind my teeth and it’s started to carry over to playing sax and it really slows my tonguing down quite a bit is there a way to fix that?

Alexandra, I’ve just bought a Saxophone and know nothing about music symbols? Can you explain the very basics of the music sheet because me and many others don’t even know the basics…. . ? Moreover, what does the Star sign mean on top of the notes mean? I can’t find any information regarding this symbol…..Thank you and keep up the good work.

Does anyone know what the star symbols above each note represent? And what octave key he is pressing because he’s going far too quick for me to follow? It would appear hes pressing a key low down and not the octave key above????? Very frustrating to watch.
