I had one boss that was supposed to train me for a part of my job that didn't know how to do. After waiting for him for 2 hours, His boss teaches me how to do the task, then goes to look for him. Apparently, he went to grab a snack, which turned into lunch, and forgot that he was training the intern. Other than that, great first job though.

In the marines we were trained how to fight in alot of different situations. One of them was against someone with a knife, while unarmed. 1st rule is to avoid a close combat fight if possible. 2nd rule how to engage that fight if you have to. 3rd rule in the civilian world, just give them the damn wallet, it isnt worth it, even if you know how to disarm them.

Yeah, I’m 100% on the side of Opie’s husband. Like at first, I was kind of thinking OK maybe at jerk but considering he’s leaving it to his daughter because it was her mother‘s home I can’t forgive that to a degree. But when he points off that they hired cleaners and stuff? So OP hasn’t had to do anything except what? Redecorate? Like the fact that she used redecorating the house as a piece of evidence that she deserves the house? Like oh I spent your money to buy couches and drapes and furniture and hire painters to make this my own so it’s mine. That’s not really a valid excuse. I decorated my last apartment. Not sure on the first one. If their exit is right ahead, they can quickly go up the emergency lane and take their exit. If they were going to try to cut back in though, they are douches and deserved worse than that.

There's a very easy payback for loud late night parties. Wait till the morning (early) when the music stops, they're all hungover, and play some even worse music even louder. The police won't really do anything about noise during the day, especially if they didn't care about it at night.

Story 3: Oh boy, I'd pay real money to see the crazy Karen assaulting the black belt karate instructor only to have her leg tenderized. Reminds me a story back from high school. One year a gang of freshmen decided they needed to bully some nerds to steam off and expose how big their tiny ding-dongs were. They picked one nerdy friend of mine, which unbeknownst to them used to attend Kung Fu classes since he was 8 or something like that. He wasn't a prodigy or anything alike when it came to fighting, I'd even say he was a bit slow and lazy, but he had plenty of experience just from the sheer number of classes he had on his record. They started with some innocent pranks at first, but then they started calling him names and test his patience. He tried to avoid confrontations and trouble in general, but one day a particularly confident asshole decided to lay his finger on him. The body check however failed to assert the dominance, as within no more than 3 seconds the bully wannabe was laying on the floor with smashed head, some bruises and in general misery. It looked helluva impressive, but in retrospect I believe my friend held back, as no hard hits were delivered, just a few quick smacks was all it took. The smashed his head was a result of the fall to the floor, which being concrete refused to cushion the fall.

Imagine that, the Berkeley hippies being so entitled and intolerant.

Story 1: Wearing a mask does very little to prevent you from getting airborne illness. The point of wearing the masks is to help prevent contagious but asymptomatic people from making the illness airborne in the first place. If the infected person isn't the one wearing the mask, it doesn't help that much. As an EMT, OP should have known that.

My hubby’s a big guy (hockey/football big) so usually, when we go on planes, I’ll sit in the middle seat, and he’ll sit on the end. (So, he can be comfy and not swish the person next to him) One time. We were going on a trip, and for some reason, a guy kept looking at me inappropriately in the airport. 😬 You’d think he’d get the hint that with my hubby next to me, *he’d leave me alone!* But, he wouldn’t stop. Eventually, it’s time to board. And it turns out *he’s on our plane!* But, my hubby just puts his arm around me, to let me know he’s not gonna let that creep do anything. Eventually, we find our seats, and *the creep is already in our row!!!* 😳 _(This just kept getting better and better… 😒)_ My hubby always goes on the plane first because he has the bags. And when he sees this, he puts the bags away and sits in the middle seat! 🤭 Because of how big my hubby is, he’s pretty intimidating. And the guy could barely move because of how scared he was after he realized how big my man was! 😉 He was afraid to move and get his phone because he’d bump my hubby, and things like that (he even asked if he could change seats, but couldn’t give a good reason 🤣) *I love my hubby!!!* 🥰😘❤️❤️❤️

When my dad’s parents came to visit they always got to stay in the master bedroom, and my parents stayed in the guest room. Pretty sure this was “normal” for their generation. That said I don’t know anyone from my generation that does it that way, let alone millennials.
