L. Rapchak's tribute to the great voice artist Mel Blanc's wacky 1953 Christmas tune, based on the popular German "Schnitzelbank" song. Same as the version currently on You-Tube but WITHOUT the 2-minute "Back story" seen on the long version. Filmed on Feb. 8, 2009 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, room 103, Hammond, Indiana.

Was this music video and the people filmed in 55?
No; we filmed in July, 2010 (listed at the very end). It's Stan Freberg's recording that was made in "55. It's interesting that this song was released by a couple of other artists that year (the famous one with the kid...Barry Gordon, I think). The song was (I believe) brand-new, but Freberg somehow got HIS version written, recorded and released the same year. He usually waited a year or so to parody popular songs, so the public had time to become familiar with them. THEN he swooped in and skewered them (Belafonte, Elvis, Mitch Miller, Lawrence Welk, Johnny Ray, etc). "I'm Gettin Nuttin'" is priceless... one of his best parodies, but he didn't care much for it.
