I know the family and Elvis and saw him in concert.What a great Man he was.I hate what he did to his body.His look's started to go down hill in 73 and on.He looked so tired and sickly.I am 62 now and still love him and alway's will.There is only one Elvis.He was different.I wish people would leave Cilla alone.She is a great person and saved Graceland for Lisa.I am tired of everyone loving Linda and hating Cilla.Every women left Elvis because of his drug problem and cheating.He just could not understand why his girlfriend's and Cilla would leave him.He was alot to handle.He was very demanding.He never thought about other people's need's.And he spent all of his money.When he died he only had under maybe 5 million that is it.He spent money really fast on women he slept with and other girlfriend's.I don't think he would of married Ginger.He didn't want to be married at all.He loved Cilla,but could not forgive her for cheating on him.He could cheat.I hate all the women that was with Elvis when he married Cilla and had a baby with her.That I didn't like.I wish people would stop talking about Elvis and Cilla.Just move on from it.Everyone has to make money off of him still.I don't like that at all.

All tge rock bands stopped doing psychedelic music around this period but mainly due to Bob Dylan who really was the leader in the 60s. Elvis, Chuck,Berry,Bob Dylan, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones are the most influential people in music ever!

Elvis was born to be different, and to be an innovator, where the world of music was concerned. Sure, he started out poor in the rural South, but that didn't stop him from making a way for himself that would bring him lasting fame like no other. Elvis wasn't a god, he was very human, and a had a truly caring heart that was made of gold. He cared about others, before he did about himself, and this set him apart from other celebs out there.

I remember I was 10 years old when the special aired in 1968 watching it with my mom. No internet and very hard to find the album of the special. Finally, somebody decided to sell the VHS copy of the special . I wore it out then bought the DVD. A documentary of how the special was created then the recent movie of Elvis touched a little bit on the creativity of the special. I bought the book with the backstage photos, Steve Binder’s interview, the actual memos between the production crew to get the special started, the writer of If I can Dream, and the ideas behind the song.

I remember seeing a rebroadcasting of this show as a little kid in the 70's AND I WAS HOOKED!!! I seen all the movies, many albums and was listening to the "Top 30 Hits-CD" on my way tonwork this morning 😊

Once beatles went long hair hippy elvis is who i listened too he was neat clean cut and just pretty period his love for very young women has bothered me for years he wished a wife like mom he was never able to achieve that

Great background story, Colonel TP took him to a place that changed the world of music and in many ways society. However CTP was not the star, he was not the creative dynamic and he was not the performer or singer making the $millions, as time went on CTP became the ultimate LEECH! Elvis managed to rise above such now and again and when he did boy the results were pretty spectacular. The Comeback Special was extraordinary!

This documentary was one of the best I've seen , very well done. I sure do hope he is singing in the House of the Lord and will be when I get there! Sometimes I think how it would have been if he got help and got himself together, got back with Priscilla and Lisa Marie! That would have been so awesome to me. How different his world would have been💖.
