Hello! Apologies for the video quality, this is the first I've ever made and have no equipment whatsoever. This is my way to give back all I learned from camper builders, so if someone is interested in converting this model they might find it useful. As long as the battery is connected the lights keep flashing. Sometimes on and off, as you can see. When position or long been/dipped lights are on the issue disappears. Thanks.

    • @pedrolg
      @pedrolg Před 3 lety

      @@jamesvernon7443 I used fiberglass Matting 450g CSM and polyester resin CFS Lloyds, marine grade, to stick the matting to the walls and give it strength. The white finish is Topcoat resin CFS, I used 2 kilos to finish it. I didn't use an specific van build video as a reference, but I watched many on how to waterproof plywood with fiberglass. I recommend doing because it's so solid and lightweight but you have to be absolutely sure you want to go ahead because you will have to tear apart the walls if you want to remove it.

  • @crpth1
    @crpth1 Před 3 lety

    Nice one. But please do yourself a favor. Next time you go for a similar layout. DO NOT duplicate the (same) items. It's extremely important when at the design level. Save time, weight, money, complexity and save SPACE! I don't need to tell you how important "real estate" space is on a campervan! ;-) The inconsistence on this design is, surprisingly or not, rather common! Notice you have a shower head and lavatory one one side. And less than a meter away another one! Commonly referred to as the sink and respective head! On the video you proved this point by washing your hands on the "kitchen sink"... See where I'm going?! ;-) Duplicate functions of each item whenever possible. BUT do not duplicate the items themselves! In this case beside the obvious spare of material you could have concentrated the water and sewage in one spot. Instead of a bit everywhere. Moving the sink/shower/lavatory to the end on the van would benefit them all. Making also for a good outdoor shower, all-in-one! Exactly the same with the vents! ;-) Hope this help for a future approach. Cheers

    • @pedrolg
      @pedrolg Před 3 lety

      You're absolutely right. In fact, the only reason there is two sinks is because the lady didn't want us to brush our teeth in the kitchen sink, thinks it's unhygienic. Go figure. I intended to achieve a level of practicality trying to keep things as simple as possible, but I went the long way for many things, I know. That's learned for the next one, that's for sure. Thanks!
