Man, my computer told me it was the throttle control if you do order that part make sure you get an Hitachi I tried one from advanced auto substitute for Itachi worked a little better than the other two that came from car parts but actually come to find out. It was the idle control valve. And yeah, they’re going to rip for a new one. Going to try what you did before I go and buy a new one. But to track down that problem really was a misleading chore, but I got it yesterday temporarily I just reset my throttle control sensor a little higher and the fault light went off then lowered the idle again and the light came back on so I just put it higher, but it still gives a little problem but it’s better than it was temporarily paid 1500 for it but it’s a good vehicle and I like it. It’s a fixer-upper I’m retired and enjoying it. But I did think it had a carburetor when I bought it not a throttle body and injectors. And Freaking sensors. Would’ve been happier with the carburetor and a motor and an air conditioner 😝😝🍻 but it’s been a new learn 😎 you have a good one and I appreciate the video

Imagine my shock when I started seeing Honda oem filters being opened up and they were rebadged crap fram! Ugh no wonder their oil changes were so cheap! Don’t go to the dealer anymore, but almost 200k miles runs like new still. 2012 accord 4 cylinder. Thanks for the video.

And, if people dont know that they need to turn the little nut to adjust the tension, then they shouldn’t be trying this. Hahahaha

Any comments on the shrinking of the size of oil filters? I just purchased a wix for my 2008 5.7 dodge and it is like half the size of the original filters.

I have been using Napa gold filters on my 2015 impala 3.6. I'm glad I selected that filter.

To get the screws out. I tried to break them free all it did was round it out. BUT i figured out a way number 2 Phelps bit on a angle holder on a drill that hammers when you put pressure on it. It doesn’t take much. It will break free and back right out.

11:05: it will need to get cleaner than that. When it is fully clean, you will be able to see the smaller diameter section of the shaft that when depressed against the spring will allow more combimustion air into the throttle body. I found i had to soak it overnight in gumout in order to get it clean. Still didn't solve my idle problem, so I'm replacing the MAF next (showed only .015 volts at idle). .

9:57: that is the EGR Solenoid that the ECU actuates to send vacuum to the BPT and on to the EGR. It receives its supply vacuum ftom that hose you pointed to on the passenger side of the throttle body.

I agree, I have caught thousands of fish with that exact same classic feather touch.

Replace all them vacuum hoses. I think they're 5/16. Get you like 8 ft worth.

I run that fram filter on my 2006gmc 1500 with 210,000 miles on it been running that exact filter since brand new I will continue to run it till I retire the truck. Looks to me like you got one that was overly old and sat in someone’s damp garage for a few years. Something doesn’t smell right here

Worked for large excavating company with over 450 pieces of equipment, john deere,cat,mack trucks they used napa filters oil samples kept coming back poorly switched to wix same thing poorly switched to Baldwin and numbers were perfect. John deere and cat said keep doing What you're doing. Baldwin is the filters they continue use.Thanks for video.

I have 174K on my daily driver and only run Fram filters and Royal Purple, change oil every 3500 miles. Learning that my engine is now junk due to fram, im trading it off to one that has a wix filter and 170k miles. 🙄

You would not notice anything different from a cheap filter like Fram because the damage takes a long time to materialize.

Amazing how POOR Fram filters are. What is more surprising is that I used them for years without issue and put over 200K on several vehicles - BUT, I regularly change the oil. Which must be an important factor!!

This has got to be the worst filter comparison I have ever seen. You are taking the best NAPA and the worst Fram. You made the Fram look worse than they are. You can use a Fram oil filter forever and you will not have an issue. Folks, just buy what you like. You will not have an issue. Ever.

WIX makes NAPA filters. You can see they afre the same. That is a low end FRAM filter, not camparible to the others.

Got one and it quit after one tank of gas. Replacing the fuel lines and filter tomorrow along with the plugs . Will l maybe get up with you if. no luck. Great video!

Do you still have this motor? I have one pretty similar and I am having some problems with sometimes it comes to full throttle and you’ll be moving 28 to 30 miles an hour then next time you go to full throttle him only go about 6 miles an hour.

I have a 1996 Force. My local guy has lots of experience on Force motors. I jsut took it in and paid him for 5 hours of time on the motor. Everything has been adjusted, cleaned and replaced. Thing runs like a top now. I’m going to keep an eye on your channel for content.

Holy CRAP! I had no idea. Glad I watched this. I will NEVER buy a FRAM product ever again. I remember from growing up in the 60's and 70's just how much FRAM was advertised, especially on TV and on NASCAR events. I was literally brainwashed into believing FRAM was the best and the gold standard... I will be buying NAPA from now on.. ... I am so pissed right now LOL
