Is it better to pollinate the same plant, or pollinate plant A with plant B and cross-pollinate? Is there a difference in the success rate or fruit?

Sorry in advance for the dumb question, I am a novice at gardening. I have a pumpkin plant because I let my kid’s pumpkin decay on my yard last fall. They wanted a pumpkin plant I was certain it wouldn’t happen-well it did! So if I don’t pollinate the female flower, does that mean I won’t get a pumpkin?
@@maimeemay not a dumb question at all!. Most times bee and other pollinators do their job and pollinate for us. So we doing it is for added measure
Wjat varieties grow best in warm climates?
Congratulations on the grapes! I transplanted my grapes back in March of this year and they had small grapes on them too, But I'm focusing more on plant growth this year so all the grapes came off but maybe next year I will have lovely fruit too! :D

Why would my cantaloupe stopped producing flowers? I have one melon growing and it stopped blooming for weeks now.
Use miracle grow garden and vegetable fertilizer or you can use the brand for tomatoes because it helps the plant produce the maximum amount of flowers rapidly. Whenever it stop producing flowers, it's a sign for the lack of nutrients.

yeah but if it has a fruit doesnt that mean thats already pollinated?
No it determines whether or not it's going to grow into a fruit. If the females are not pollinated it just sorta dries up and you have to wait till more flowers bud if there's still time

Your bean seeds look like lima beans. In USA they are called "King of the garden". I am growing the same bean seeds, bought from a store in Australia, but were grown in USA.

Hi, Thanks for reaching out! both male and female grows form the same plant. The plant usually produces more males in the beginning, followed by females
