TK's completely fair and acceptable i don't see anything wrong with it. It's a part of the game mechanic, if it can be done in game i think it's fair play, since TK's can happen on both side.
either you are unlucky or you are doing something which is upsetting others. i rarely see teamkills, and when i do its a pe-8

Because there is no punishment for it. Back in the day when you could TK with guns, people were very polite. Because you knew others would take care of you when you TKed. I miss these times so much.
No one know's. You might trigger someone by accident or you being a hole but you just don't know yourself since most people do not recognize themselves. let's say, someone play low tier vehicle like m22 and try to kill abrams and the final moment that m22 try to finish it and you just come around the corner and "help finish the kill" with or without knowing that you take that hard earn kill from m22. I think you get the point.

I've done this a few times but usually the noise of the l3 clanging under the Maus gives it away eventually
tip: turn off the engine. the l3 makes an unnecessary amount of smoke, which can be seen even when it is being crushed by a maus. the engine also makes noise, which is a dead giveaway as well
