I always find it funny how many chinese and japanese haters constantly come onto South Korean channels and diss. It's quite laughable. Koreans couldn't care less about the two and yet.... But that's our history; for thousands of years Korea has done nothing but defend while china and japan attack, invade and steal. On a positive note, I suppose we ought to feel flattered. The extra kick to the sugarcane juice were durian my dude! The king of fruits... used to hate it but went to Vietnam this year when it were in season (perhaps still is) and we must have spent $400-500 on it alone during 3 weeks... it were just that good!! Look for "Sầu Riêng" ....I highly recommend the ice cream of it if you don't dare to jump straight in to the fruit (though you already tried it without knowing).

Gangnam is like Beverly Hills? What decade are you living in? It's been ages since it turned into a place where people flock just to make money. The place you're walking through is just a cheap villa area where women in their 20s and 30s live to frequent bars and clubs targeting wealthy men. The real wealthy live in the north of the river, in areas like Pyeongchang-dong, Hannam-dong, and Seongbuk-dong. Only those who truly know Seoul well are aware of these affluent neighborhoods. Saying Gangnam is like Beverly Hills is laughable.

gangnam station area is just full of academies and beauti clinics. the rich area is chungdam, shinsa, apkujeong area

gangnam is expensive in terms of land and building prices and rent prices. while its rich area there are no mansions. the real rich people in seoul live in $10+ million dollar mansions. and they live in itaewon - hannam - and the hills behind gyeongbukgung palace. the hills north of gyeongbukgung palace has the most mansions in korea and the largest by land area. thats where old money and politicians and people of higher position in society live. there are thousands of mansions there. its kinda like Beverly hills Hollywood hills.

the area in the western part is called seoul forest park cafe street. and seongu dong being east of it. or central because the area east of seongu is kondae konkuk university area. similar to hongdae. kondae is a popular hangout area for young people. these 3 areas make up the greater seongsu-dong area. seoul forest park + seongsu-dong + kondae

in korea almost all western foods are considered snacks. from burgers to pizza to breads hotdogs sandwiches tacos fries chicken everything. also you'll notice almost all Western foods are sweet based flavors. western food is usually very small food portion and eaten with hands so it makes perfect snack items in korea.

Korea is a very overated country. Plus everything is horribly expensive. Id rather travel to China.
