😍😍😍😍😍
Amazing
Phénoménal, à tous points de vue! Une des grandes merveilles de la nature!
Эталонное исполнение
Феноменальная!!!
What an honor it would've been to be in the presence of a Devine Goddess!!! ❤❤ Forever missed Ms Norman 🥹🥹
💖 Gilda 1961 wonderful🎉
Very beautiful 😍 🤩 👌 ❣️
Dame Eva kissed me on the stage of Wigmore Hall. She was a marvellous human as well as a great singer.
Rita’s voice is incredible. I categorize her as a real lyric soprano in complete natural but the weight could become spinto at times. Absolutely an A class voice.
She is amazing....❤
There only few singers who manage to sing - let’s call it “majestic”. Jessye Norman was definitely one of those and I absolutely love her recordings with Hebert von Karajan…who had the same ability as conductor. Leaves you with the feeling that it will never been done better.
What a nice example of a culture appropriation.
"English Opera Singers". So there's a town called Melbourne in England?
Elizabeth Vaughan was Welsh
Arthur Davies was Welsh
Wonderful voice, wonderful lady. A dear, dear friend with whom we had lunch on her birthday in August. She’s very well, adores her garden and her beloved cat. So pleased to have such wonderful recordings of her and love the stories she tells whenever I mention one of them. And yes she ought to be a Dame, and R3 ought to play more of her. Much love our Hindhead Diva, M&N xxx
What an amazing voice, magnificant, magical, emotive and expressive. The greatest mezzo soprano ever.
❤
Just very beautiful, ❤❤❤❤
8:29 the big giveaway and the reason why Wales is the Land of Song, i.e she started singing publicly in the *local eisteddfod.*
Jessye Norman had a PHENOMENAL voice--one of the best!!!!! I cried the day she passed away.
Quelle voix magnifique ,immense , quelle véhémence.Elle nous enveloppe et nous emporte comme un ouragan .C'est fantastique !!❤️
The finest Wagnerian tenor of his generation. If only he had got the breaks he deserved.
Jess?
She was Welsh.
Just perfection 😊❤❤❤❤❤
She has a beautiful voice and her interview was a real pleasure. She's the kind of person you just want to sit down and listen to as she talks about her life and experiences.
He was Australian. A really really good tenor. Best we’ve had.
And Solti hated her why????
He wasnt impressed with her at the beginning but they made up - she recorded Desdemona AND Ballo with him
Oh gosh...I had forgotten that my Auntie Nellie and Grandma was on here. I cannot thank you enough to be able to hear their voices again :")
Thank you so much for uploading this interview. Wonderful to hear this interview of my Mother's again. The photo at 4:00 is sadly, not my Mother :( Just thought I would mention that. But thank you SO much for uploading the interview
He was just a fantastique artiste and personne I had the luck to be on the same stage with him. Edward Arckless ex Royal Opéra Ballet Covent Garden Londen
Surely one of the most beautiful things we will ever hear is Rita Hunter singing the Trovatore Leonora ' D'amor sull'alli rose.' Martina Arroyo was very modest and she was a truly great singer too.
She was just fabuleux and fantastique to have next to you on the stage.never to forget.Edward Arckless ex Royal Opéra Ballet Covent Garden Londen.
Fabulous! 👏👏👏
He was undoubtedly the best tenor this country ever produced. Open tone, free easy top, bags of power and a real Italianate type of tenor. Gorgeous.
RIP Rita Hunter (born #otd in 1933) 🌷🌷🌷
HEAVEN
NO
Beautiful voice and interpretation! Her voice is much bigger than Price and Callas !
