Great tour and review. Thank you. One question: Why does one category (Amenities) count for 20 points, while all others are worth 10 points? I believe it would be cleaner if all categories counted the same. May I suggest to perhaps add a 10th category, maybe a rating for the room itself (layout, furniture, bathroom, etc), which then would get you back to a total of 100 points.

The Singapore FA kept checking with you about your food order bc she wanted your Lobster Thermidor. lol We have flown Singapore business class 2 times in the past. Once a 15-hour flight from SFO to SIN back in 2008 during the financial crisis and again 2 months ago from SEA to Bali. In 2008, SQ had an all-business class A345 with 100 seats. The seats back then were 36 inches wide! Only 25 of us were on that flight and after a few hours, you couldn't look up or one of their amazing flight attendants would start towards us with champagne. I can't imagine any airline providing better service. Isn't Changi airport the absolute best? By the way, I know you and Rob like comfort and recommend taking the Emirates "Fifth Freedom" flight between BKK and HKG. You don't even need miles to book it. You can even take the A380 and take a shower in First Class if you choose wisely. czcams.com/video/O29AR9ifTsw/video.html This past April we flew the A350 from SFO. A 17+ hour flight and then to Bali. Again, it was an amazing flight. With a flight that long, we had a chance to watch several movies, sleep for about 8 hours, and eat 2 meals. Oh my gosh the lounge 😍 is beautiful. We have never had lounge access, maybe in the future?? We saved for months to buy our premium economy tickets on Singapore airlines from the US, but we are hoping to earn points from our new credit cards to be able to cover flights next year, but business class probably won't be possible. It was nice to see how the other half lives/flies.😮

Hello Allie & Rob, Business Class makes air travel so much easier and enjoyable, especially for long-haul flights (but the cost for these can be quite prohibitive). I have traveled quite a bit for work on United (Star Alliance) and I was lucky to receive upgrades with 1-K status and certificates. Now that I am nearing retirement, I'll switch gears, and I am currently planing on using a Star Alliance Round-the-World ticket. Such a business-class ticket is surprisingly affordable, about $ 10 -12 k, depending on the itinerary (about half that cost in coach). The rules for this ticket are rather simple: Travel in one direction, have 2 -15 stops, and complete the trip in one year. I am thinking of Chicago-Barcelona-Munich-Istanbul-Bangkok-Manila-Tokyo-Hawaii-Chicago, which will be a little more than $10k in BC. Thank you for all your great information, -Wolfgang
