The so-called cell phone ticket is for the operation of a cell phone while driving. The law does not state. Just because you have it in your hand you can be cited for it.

Our license registration and insurance. The law states, we only have to display it. We don't have to answer stupid questions like where we've been where we're going or anything like that. I'm from Australia so it might be a little different. Be polite and curious keep hans on steering wheel. Don't answer any unnecessary questions. They always ask about why being stopped, where you been, where you are going. I answer I don't know why you stopped me and is it relevant where I have been or going and don't say anything else but don't be aggressive. Rember any thing you say can be used against you. Here they will only ask for your licence because they would already have that information from your plate. Also they are required to tell you before they start their name rank and from what station. If plain clothes I will always ask for some id and they are required to show it. Don't concent to any searrches of your car. I always make sure my dashcam is on to record the interaction.

How does a lawyer get it totally wrong on Certificates of Relief? If you were convicted but did not serve state prison time you cannot apply to the Dept of Corrections you have to apply to the court you were convicted in. This is the first paragraph on the NYS Certificate of Relief information page and apparently this law firm didn't even bother to lookup the law before making this video. Great sales pitch, like I want to hire someone who didn't even bother to lookup the laws they were making a video about. SMH
