Why does the mouth look like the muscle thingy
Hiya, I love your work! How did you get the 2d sketch of the wings to a 3d object in zbrush?
@@zac_walton Thanks. The sketch was saved as an SVG in another program and then I converted the SVG into an extruded mesh in blender.

Hey I have a question, is sculpting in zbrush better or blender?
Zbrush has a lot more tools for sculpting than blender but blender is decent if you want to learn.

Thanks. The jaw movement is controlled by my mouth. When I open my mouth, the mouth on the mask does so. I am pretty sure there are some costume making videos that go more in depth on the mechanism but it is pretty simple to do.

A roadrunner head would be cool to make! Right now I am working on a toucan and fur-bearing trout masks. I will keep that in mind for the future though.

There's a lot of things I would like to say after watching this video. It was very relaxing, and the model is absolutely STUNNING. I'm just curious if you have a version of the model with the jaws opened. I'm sure it's challenging to add in the lower jaw, the teeth, the tongue, figuring out the rest of the mouth texturally and whatnot. I won't even worry about asking if you've ever tried adding in feathered textures aside of what you've already done. I'm aware for a fact that feathers and fur is always hard to add and render. Also I'm finally going to ask this because you're not the first 3D modeler I've watched and "tried" learning from... pros and cons of using ZBrush over Blender? And have you had any experience using your models in Unreal Engine?
Glad you like it. I have done some some models in the past with open mouths. It can be a bit tedious to do with all of those details. I also like to make my models 3D printable, so open mouths can be more of a challenge to print. As for modeling software. Blender is decent but I mostly use Zbrush since it has more advanced sculpting tools. If you are getting into 3D modeling, I would start with blender because it’s free and has some basic sculpting tools. I have not tried unreal yet but I want to eventually render my work in it.

I built the mask myself. If you want to know the process of how I made it, look into “fursuit head tutorials” since I use similar techniques.
