Marvin, those are LECA rocks, or light expanded clay aggregate. they are mainly used in europe for creating large bricks with insulative properties. You can use any substrate but LECA is very light. consider allso using rock wool. Give me a follow! I am only 18 more people away from 1000!

The gloves were made out of cheap grean fabric and then I used a chroma key mask to remove it as best as possible.

@@ObsMusicUK I use premier. You need to shoot the scene twice. One with no action, then the other with action. You have one clip on the bottom layer, then the other clip on the top with the glove. When you mask out the glove, there is a hole there, that is replaced by the background layer. If you have a tripod, it is real easy to do. If you move the camera, you need a special tracking mechanism to track the movements of the camera, then replay the movements without the glove and toy, then you get two tracks and you cut out the blue stuff, and the bottom stuff appears.

@@ObsMusicUK It is just a simple mask and a layer of video underneath it. So i assume it works with adobe premiere. I did this a while back.

Yeah, we made the first one out of LEGO in 2010.

I know this is hell a old but I just used green fabric and wrapped it around my hand.

It was created using Blender. The pipes are elongated cylinder objects, the arrows are made up of a particle emitter with arrows as the particle object, and each arrow path is located on a different layer in blender. They are rendered using render cycles. If you are interested in a tutorial, let me know and throw a follow my way.
