I'm playing catch-up, looks awesome. Playing around with it now. Can't wait for my area to update, and yeah Like Rick asked if I also can assist, I would be glad to in whatever capacity.
Yes, I will be doing a video seeking folks that can help with this project, should be up within the next few days
That looks really cool and comprehensive. Will the data for other areas be crowdsourced/crowdverified?
Yes, the data will be exportable and there will be a REST API, free for all with no limitations
I own RT Systems for my Yeasu FT-60, it works great by the way, has more detailed settings than what Chirp offers as far as custom features of the Yeasu
Well done! 73's from WB0BBC
Looking good my friend. I asked you about a linking repeater system in the last video (and you answered that, thank you) but it just occurred to me; what if you were taking a trip from Eugene to Winterset and you wanted to take I-5 to I-80, to I-35, to keep it simple, and wanted to program the local repeaters along the way, what if you could drag the cursor along the route or something like that, and it would follow the highways to tell it you're taking and give you a width of let's say ten miles each side of the highway all the way to your destination? Does that make sense? I'm sure it's not a simple task but maybe something down the road (no pun intended) after the release? Just an idea of how far this could go.
Actually, it's not as difficult as you think. I can let you draw rectangles on the screen and gather repeaters for that area, even better however are the plugin's for the map I am using, let me go check to see if there is one that can give me a route, I was going through them all a week or so ago and there are tons of extensions
That looks great. Where would one download the app? tnx and 73 de K4EOD
It should be available in less than 2 months (hopefully less), and I will announce it here
This sounds great, I know we have SERA - Southeastern Repeater Association that's covering East Tennessee. I've been Mapping friends and family along with all the local repeaters. this program looks to have great potential. Awesome work!
That's super smart, in case anything ever happens it's great to have more than just repeaters mapped. The next big thing I am adding to this program is the ability to add your own points, for simplex direct communications.
@@WhiskeyNiner-HT That would be great for family cohesion! I cant wait to work with your software!
I really like this. Have you any plans for linked repeater systems?
Absolutely, I live in Florida and we have SARNet, if you have't read about it the most sophisticated linked system in the nation. I was thinking when you right mouse on a repeater there would be a "See linked Repeaters" and if you choose it all repeaters disappear except for those that are linked. I'm all ears for ideas though ...
@@WhiskeyNiner-HT That sounds like a great idea. Or at least the others faded out so you could still see them but they were dim.
Great demonstration. Looking forward to reviewing your program. Best!
Just posted Part 2 - Some Cool new features
I took the Technician and General test last month. There’s so many facets to HAM radio that is is a bit overwhelming. That looks like a great program!

I have RT Systems programming software that lets you import data. Curious to see if it would work with software? Thank you for doing this.
I have RT Systems software for my Yeasu, let me check that out, that's a fantastic idea, if they allow some sort of import format then yes, it will be done - See Part 2 by the way czcams.com/video/Mwc-A9RkRSs/video.html
Great looking program. I'd love to buy a copy when you have it tweaked out to your liking. I too am a new ham. I got my Tech Lic. in late Feb. and three weeks later passed my General. Right now I'm strictly GRP. Yaesu FT 817nd and a Chameleon Mag Loop. I was thoroughly disappointed with lack of traffic and possible contacts here in SW Georgia but I keep trying. Thanks - KQ4PQW - RH Berg
This is definitely going to help, see part 2 on my channel, just posted ... czcams.com/video/Mwc-A9RkRSs/video.html
Very nice. Looking forward to the program.

It's awesome to see the home locations idea implemented so quickly! nice work! I can't wait to see the next rev. This tool will be so handy for new and experienced operators (HAM & GMRS, etc.). Cheers!
It was a fantastic suggestion, really really useful, thank you
I have plenty of people to talk to now, more to come ...
