How To Remove Rust From Metal Chain With Evaporust | Bicycle Drivetrain Restoration
What about all weather lube
Best chain lube I have ever used is engine oil, it works better than most bike “specific” lube and if you can get the engine oil made for diesel engines it works great too. Just don’t use used engine oil that stuff is nasty.
What size? Shyt vid 😔
WD 40 is a great cleaning fluid and for displacing water (WD = water displacement). It's a lousy long term lube. I use TriFlow, I worked for a manufacturing company with about a hundred MIG welders that were in use 24 hours a day 6 days a week sometimes 7. They used Tri Flow on the rollers on the wire feeds because it didn't attract dirt like other lubes and held up longer. If it can hold up on a MIG wire feeder in those conditions it's more than good enough for a bicycle chain.
Where can I get this converter?
Prevention is always better than cure,
Motor oil; better than all these recommendations😄
Only for casual ride while following your 3yo kid 😂
Bro can you give me the front gear and shifter my bike is 3 x speed crank set
Lube add?
Why slx if you don’t mind me asking?
Wow, been riding almost 40 years. Give me Tri-Flow or give me death.
I thank I was in such a kubuckle I've been pacing back and forth with a can of WD40 in my firing hand.
Large chainring looks worn out
what if there is crackling sound coming from this area?
That is bullshit the w-d40 is totaly cool to use, ive used it for years and it works better and lasts longer than that bullshit hes promoting
it's increases the probability of chain break
Don’t do this if you value your face. Get either a reducing lower headset cup and smaller bearing or a legit crown race to increase the bearing size.
This Is Easy As Fuck Let's Go
Nobody does this because getting a decent straight fork is actually pretty hard to do. Just buy a tapered fork.
Also make sure your chain is installed the right way round. This will also increase shifting performance
In lowest gear I have to pedal 15 times to travel 5 feet. So it's not an issue.
square taper bottom bracket 😭
First, install the chain correctly - with the markings facing outwards...
Clean ur chain with WD 40 and use a chain lube after . If no lube the WD 40 will do the Job no bother .
There are some things you can cheap out on and chain is not one of them.
WD-40 is not a good option, me who bought WD-40 Bike chain oil 😮
AI guy says WD-40 is bad so it must be true.
wd40 makes a specific product for chain lubing, works on my motorcycles, idk why it wouldnt work on a slow speed bike lol people are too brainwashed on them fancy marketing
I use coconut oil ❤
All these do is wear off and become noisy and unpleasant to the eye, i rarely see bikes have them these days even brand new. I also don't use the first gear at all and believe it or not i'm too bored to set the derailer properly for that gear so the chain wont fall behind so i set it to start from the second and everything's fine with that issue. I have also shortened the chain two times after breaking it twice so if i set that gear with the 48t on the front the chain stretches to a lock. 😂😂😂😂😂
Bike❌ cycle✅
Or OR, its not tensioned or installed properly.
Do You wipe the excess outside the chain after putting lube then wait for 1 hour or before putting lube or what?
I use wd 40🥺
Uh oh you don't want to upset the AI guy
My e-bike came from the shop with a straight fork in a tapered frame... I rode it for over 3000 miles and not had any problem.
I have the same problem on my YT Jeffsy and I know this methode but everytime I fix this issue, after some riding I also have to fix it because I have this problem again and again and. I don't know why, this was also a problem with may previous bike. I do stoppies and wheelies but a lot of people do so I don't think this is the reason. Pls help!!
Check you actually have a gap between the top of the stem or spacers and the steerer. You need at least a 3mm gap for everything to compress.
Name of bike please
Still have a minor play in HeadCap. Is this fine? If I tighten the extender screw further then steering starts showing noticeable resistance. Please help.
Saying Lube and deep penetration on one sentence is a crime LOL
Wow! Cuánto que aprendí!!!
Chain drop 🔥
that's chain brand's is FSC ?
i keep it on until i crash for the first time
Guys don’t actually put anything on your brakes. You’re probably die.
Dont use oil lube, it attracts so much dust. Like every 50km you have to cleqn and lube it again. Instead use wax lube. It keeps your chain lubricated 250-500km and its easy to clean.
Any solution for Wet lube MucOff ? it makes a big mess on the chain and cassette its like sticky honey and annoying to remove clean with degreaser…
thank you
Perfect, this is exactly the way I've been doing it!
I've been using synthetic engine oil on my bike chain, however I degrease and clean it on monthly basis
