From my own experience, this is the most unreliable engine, it has two major problems: 1.Timming chain. 2. Rocker Arms The engine in my car w213 2017 only done 68000 mile. Mercedes coat me £3380 for 15 hours to replace timing chain and and the rocker arms. My advice is to keep away from the OM654 220d engine.

After 250 000 ready for trash. I have changed 3 engines in my c klass 2011 two of them and one in Sprinter . Camshaft wich has to much movement left to right 0.4 millimeter when it comes from production is simply stupid from Mercedes factory. OM651 has lots of problems try to find 320 or even petrol 1.8 wich is much more reliable .

I had to drive a 230 from one panel shop to another some years ago, maybe these were the last of the carburettor models before everything went EFI, fabulous seats and probably the nicest handling of any sedan I have driven.

The best or nothing! My 2013 E350 4Matic was manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen Plant. I have owned the car for 11 years without any issues. I have only done the required maintenance yearly, and my car still looks brand new. I get compliments all the time. People cannot believe my car is over three years old, let alone 11 years.

Loved my old W124 300E… magic ride, great to drive, lasted over 27 years… I’m in a W211 E350 now.
