I've never seen this movie (it's one of the few Ghiblis I haven't seen) but somehow this soundtrack makes me intensely nostalgic, as if for a childhood I never had.
I first watched this because apparently Anno animated a massive explosion in it; found an enchanting soundtrack and beautiful animation from an anime golden age long gone.
the first music sounds like your adveturing in a classic pixel rpg. It gives me nostalgia like playing a game I've played long time ago
If any of you are Magic the Gathering players? This entire movie and aesthetic can be wrapped up in Vernal Bloom.
listening to this brought me to tears. all the emotions i felt watching nausicaa and hearing this music for the first time came back rushing in so strongly. no other ghibli film means quite so much to me
Vi una pequeña parte de esta película de niño siempre recordé una parte de la bso específicamente la 13:00, después de unos 30-35 años encontré la película 😊
Its not the best quality and you know it, CZcams cannot stream FLACs
7:18 english horn plus oboe duo
7:03 english horn solo
ghibli movies were literaly one of the first thinkgs i saw as a kid, im pretty sure that they became a part of me, i watched them probobly at least 50 times each, but i didnt watch any in a while and im scared to go back and watch them again, im scared ill watch it and the magic will be gone.
12:14 only vocals makes 💯💯
I've heard this music for the first time in 25 years. I got immediate flashbacks of this film and tears. How could I forget...
I can listen to 7:55 over and over again. What's the name of the track???
I need to hear this full version in live Joe pls make a concert for this suite ❤
It’s always so funny to me how there are cash grabs these days that have the selling point being how “strong their women are”, while Miyazaki has been doing that for decades, only better in every conceivable way!
Does somebody know music's name at 2:00. It's just beautiful. 😭❤
Sounds so heroic and military like ngl
This was the first Ghibli film I truly connected with, at only 6 years old I remember sitting at my kitchen counter looking at a tiny tv screen and watching this for the first time. I had been too young to connect to Spirited Away yet, and wasn't ready for Howl's Moving Castle, but I watched this story about a brave and kind princess of a dying world who saved her people and the creatures around her. I was enraptured from the first scene, and remember sobbing by the end. It still is my all time favorite Ghibli movie and brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it, and the song with a little girl singing in the back was practically my own lullaby. Forever will Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind go down as an absolute masterpiece in every way.
❤
5:40 is exactly barry lyndon
I watched Nausicaa when I was very young, and decided that I wanted to be her when I grew up. This movie makes me cry several times when I watch it, which no other movie does. I love Nausicaa.
This music makes me cry
This movie is awesome.
First time ever I realized Nausicaa contains sabaranade from barry Lyndon (op Schubert trio)
Todos ❤
First clicked a 40 minute video but they were missing all the good tracks. This one is much better
5:40 Hendel
❤
Honestly disappointed at how underrated this movie is.
I didn't underrate this movie. Went yo see it in the cinema in HK whilst on holiday and cried at the end. Got back to England and raved about it, but was not fully distributed and it had subtitles. That's why i think it was not rated highly
Don't be. Enjoy it fully from your perspective and it's all that matters. And it is still pretty famous.
It's my favorite Ghibli movie definitely, you're not alone. The worldbuilding is amazing like in any movie by Ghibli honestly.
I hope one day this movie will have a live action adaptation.
@@MGokce-oy8ij lol why omg. No. Please. NOOOOOOO
7:56 8:31
Just watched the movie and I'm here for the soundtrack. It's really mesmerizing... The movie should be released again in the theatres!
I saw it this weekend. They only had one showing. Studio Ghibli has been showing their movies in theaters recently.
@@checkoutmyyoutubepage Ohh nice.. I guess it still won't be released in India!
I really enjoyed the movie but I was wondering why do the bugs and the forests create toxic atmosphere? For humans, if they're not living in a windy valley or have the miraculous ability to communicate with bugs, it is totally understandable to try destroy them before they get destroyed. That I think was the part the movie couldn't explain. I get that nature is valuable but surely cannot be more important than human lives when we are all humans after all
Humans intoxicated the earth so much through that plants are trying their best to filter it out so that they can still grow there. That is why when they grow in a pure environment, like Nausicaä's plant room, they are totally normal regular plants, they dont need to filter anything out so they just live. But in the toxic ground they kinda just purify the earth for themselves creating a ever growing area of clean ground (the white pure underground area) but also a massive toxic overground, because thats all the toxic stuff that was in the air at first. The bugs have realized the plants are de-poluting the earth and are therefore protecting it, because it is in everyone's benefit to have a healthy planet, but humans have, apart from Nausicaä, failed to realize this as of now. So instead of trying to understand what was going on, like Nausicaä, they were instead afraid. And when humans are afraid, they tend to destroy. As shown in the movie it is totally possible also to live side by side with the toxic forests and bugs untill it has all been filtered and cleaned. Not to mention that without nature humans would die regardless. So even if their conquest in destroying the toxic plants would have worked, they would have just died from the lack of nature, and the still toxic lands now incapable of being cleansed.
Wow is all I can say.
5:41 Sarabande, absolutely beautiful
that's such a mad knockoff of West Side Story at 6:25 and I love it
Back in the early 1990s when getting into anime was almost impossble (my apologies that I eventually gave up and did not, in fact, get into it), one of the only things I was able to find besides Akira was "Warriors of the Wind," a movie that literally changed my life in that I spent weeks fastidiously creating a remix of the main theme and thought it was one of the coolest movies I had ever seen. And those of you who have no idea why I am talking about this, well, it turned out "Warriors of the Wind" was some random company's release taking Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, arbitrarily cutting out like 1/3 of the movie, including changing the order of scenes, and generally just ruining it, and EVEN THAT did not manage to destroy just how amazing a movie it was. Though yeah once I finally saw the real thing after the Disney version came out a decade later it was clear that was an improvement.
I'm crying
Left me tears
Inside clover mind
Nice 😊 music 🎶 makes me tear up
This music is so hauntingly majestic, it makes me feel like im sitting at the edge of the toxic jungle watching the horrors of war rage on in the distance knowing that I will someday be consumed by the flames. But until then i will sit and watch.
That’s so true! Truly amazing way to put it!!
Just watched this today for the first time 😭
true masterpieces of music.
12:25 my child loves this part so much and sings alone. What a beautiful movie with an important message. I was so happy to watch with him today.
Saw this movie when I was in junior high. I'm now almost 50yo and this movie is still in my top 3 best movies of all time. I'm so happy that I got to share this movie recently with my son who also fell in love with it.
I really love this movie Lol
This movie has singlehandedly awakened my love and respect for nature as a child and teached me the principles of humanism. It will forever be special to me.
I think you may like the manga too, I would recommand you to read it if you haven't yet.
You can't even describe Joe hisashi's music! The main theme makes me cry because it's outstanding and way too emotional 😭♥️
7:57 is the chase of the Pejite ship and Nausicaa remastered. I can't find the movie version or anything.
