Wow! That's impressive! You should patent your design and sell pre-marked cardboard in kits with instructions on where to fold the cardboard; where to attach the pens; and how to attach them. You could include a couple of simple designs on the smaller pieces of paper and include blank, larger pieces of paper for people to try out their tool. This would make a fun educational project for kids, and it would be fun for adults to try, too. You may even make some money from selling pre-made kits like that, too. 😊

I took screen shots of the drawing, and printed it at 105 percent. It would have to be printed at about 115-120% or so to make it as big as the video cat. The drawing is slightly off when printed. The pieces that move the eyes need to be slightly reshaped, and the pin/dowel hole for the front leg needs to be repositioned. The weird shaped hole needs to be slightly bigger toward the front and shaped to fit the pivoting piece in order to get the full range of motion for the pivoting front leg. The mark for drilling the tail pin is not shown in the drawings, and you have to figure out where to drill that also. It’s a little frustrating making the first/prototype. Then you can take it apart and trace it to make a template that works for additional cats. In addition, I made two extra feet to glue on the reverse side for symmetry and to have it look good from both sides.

Very ingenious! I am on my third pair of feet. It seems getting the curvature right is crucial. The other part to work out is how much weight to add to the back. Any suggestions? Here are the measurements I used (all in mm): front and back 52 x 44 (10 mm thick), sides and middle 24 x 44 (5 mm thick), legs 12 x 12 x 74 (approx.), feet 44 x 22 x 22. Thank you for sharing such a creative use of gravity.
