Heyo, Unfortunately CZcams is really struggling to load the replay of the stream, so will probably have to come back later... I hate when this happens and it's to some streams at random and not normal videos for some reason. Anyway, I haven't really seen this game covered a whole lot, normally I see a let's play on someone's channel and then they never post about it again XD. But as someone who has 130hrs in game I want to share some tips to make the game a bit easier if you be in for the long haul. Not many people know and as such don't use this, but is it a lifesaver and feature I can't play without now. If you're playing on keyboard and mouse, you'll notice that your devices are on 1,2,3,4 and consumables on 5,6,7,8. There is a keybind in the controls menu that allows you to hold down a keybind to will bring a radial menu to select you devices and consumables rather than reaching for 1,2,3,4 and especially 5,6,7,8 cause they aren't near WASD and you only got 2 hands. Using the hold keybind will also slow down time to a crawl so you can think about your next move as you're processing what is going on around you, also change lock on targets to prep a device or consumable if needed, but also so you don't press the wrong keybind using a device or consumable you didn't instead to... cause Everspace 2 can get very intense depending on ship type. It's up to you but I'll tell what I use in my keybinds in my game. You can use whichever keybinds suit you best. I've unbinded 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 from quick use items keybinds and bound the radial hold menu keybinds to Z (Devices) and X (Consumables) cause they are under WASD. Would also recommend using R as your target lock for the enemy closest to your aiming reticle, so easy to reach. Bound primary weapons to 1,2,3 and no ship has has 4 weapons so it basically just above the W key, though scroll wheel works to as well by default. If you have extra mouse buttons you can use those, I have one closest to my thumb to change missile slots cause launching a missile it right click so it all on one hand for that. I hope you are enjoying your dive into Everspace 2. I'll come back a bit later and see if CZcams is ready to cooperate and let me watch the stream...
