From what I've been able to find out so far, the frame was made by Gerd Bökers some 20 years ago, and it originally housed a Ducati 999 Testastretta engine. The motorcycle was called MR 999, and it was "assembled" by Dieter Rechtenbach from mr-motorradtechnik (Zülpich, Germany). What is the “bulge” in the bodywork around the intake in the green bike at the start of this video? Is that some fancy pre-war aero to jam air down the intake? Or just a way to keep your knee from catching fire in case of a backfire?
NM, I bet it’s trying to keep your pants from blocking the intake. I do know why the blue Ducati has pillow taped to the tank. Every hard braking corner that sharpe tank “punches” you in the stomach. lol
KZ1300 is the most giant, brutal superbike ever! Nuff said!

ganz ehrlich, wer kauft so was ? Viel zu teuer !! die hier gezeigte Version mit den Koffern kostet in Deutschland im Jahr 2024 ab 24.800 Euro. Und das für einen Dreizylinder 110 Ps und 80 nm ?? MV Agusta tut wirklich alles dafür, damit die Marke eine Nische bleibt. Zum extrem hohen Preis kommt noch das sehr sehr kleine Händler und Service Netz dazu.

Thanks for sharing these rare machines. I was fortunate to work with a factory trained Laverda mechanic. Learned a lot from this guy. I remember him commenting how well built they were. However he was a huge Ago fan (weren't we all) and MV was his favorite brand.

It HAS to have reverse megaphone exhausts , get rid of that ridiculous numberplate bracket thing and do something about the oil cap position. Then you've got a nice bike. Personal opinion ofcourse.
