Impulses Core seems bad. Yin Spinner post Codex III seems okay. Overall, their unique tech seems bad. Yin is already not that strong. Why couldn't Impulse core just be a carbon copy of their devotion ability?

speaking of retheming. this is pretty much a retheme of CMONs older game "World of Smog: Rise of Moloch" which is set in Victorian Steampunk London. great game by the way. love both of them. Masters of the Universe slightly more, just because of the Nostalgia value. also Moloch is more story based, so he-man would in theory get to the table more for me.

Lae'zel is the absolutely best character in the game. BG3 would never be what it is, without her.

What happens if you kill the grove as karlach?

the algorithm has been kind to me today! I’m in the middle of my own karlach origin run (admittedly on balanced), and have gotten as far as the creche, with the all-baldurian party composition. Love to see another player give karlach some love, as far as I know she’s the only origin companion with the occasional voiced internal dialogue, which just adds to the fun vibe.

According to the game rules "Players must simultaneously draw and reveal a chip from their bag." It means to draw 1 chip from the bag always.

There we go, finally finished this whole series! Mostly. The Xxcha video is blocked in the Uk, which is annoying since they’re my favourite faction. Anyway, nice series check out all the factions, I especially like that you added their lore to each one and how that influenced their gameplay.

I’m much more likely to play that’s in 3rd edition than 4th. I’d rather play a jack of all trades than a master of one.

I really want to play this faction just to try an upgraded fighter swarm attack. Cheap, fast units able to hit on a seven and above sounds pretty decent to me, especially if I pick my targets right and try hit an run attacks.

The simple faction ability is very tempting but I'm ut off by their lack of technology. Even one would make me more willing to play them. Cool aesthetic, though.

First faction I ever played. Not my favourite to play, but I love their backstory, it's my favourite of all the factions. Slaves uprising against their masters and stealing their technology to build their own super-weapons, what's not to love?

Probably the faction I'd play last. Bit too aggressive for my taste since they have to attack someone to get technology, and I'm not savvy enough to do a double-bluff or whatever for voting.. Though I'm surprised they have three commodities. They're a galactic threat that's not allowed to vote and steal's tech by assimilating their defeated foes...yet they're better traders than the L1Z1X, Letnev, and Vuil'Raith.

Magmus reactor does not apply when using flagship, star forge, umbat; It only applies when using PRODUCTION. So I think its not really that good as it has negative synergy to all of muaats strengths. However the magmus reactor omega from codex is much better it gives the supernovas themselves production 5

Remember that the main driving factor for Laz'el through most of the first act is Fear. Her attitude stems from years of indoctrination. She is soldier in race of soldiers who have been fighting a near constant war against their racial enemies. From her point of view her own personal nightmare just became real and to make it worse she is stranded on a new plane of existance seperated from her people who are the only ones who can save her. Her life is litterally on a clock from the moment the story starts and she is the only one who seems to have a proper level of concern.

Lae'zel going from calling you Source of Her Bruises to Source of Her Joy shows just how much she have changed. She may not be the romance option I prefer personally, but she does have her charm.

On my second playthrough of baldurs gate 3, I was intending to romance karlach (my first was shadowheart) but then I saw the dialog option that said "I've been wanting a hot githyanki girlfriend" and I knew my human bard had to romance her.
