Big congrats, big dall sheep, great video
That is a tremendous trophy! Why you didn't show the shot is confusing to me. It's all part of the fantastic experience. Congratulations
That’s a great life, happy for you man.
درود داری خیلی زحمت داره شکار کردن....از ما هم حمایت کنید
Just curious, did you see any other hunters during the hunt? Awesome hunt!
Nevermind, you answered my question in the video
I wonder if they took all the meat ?? 🥩
❤❤❤
Great hunt 👍👍.I was wondering how did you guys kept the meat cool for such a long time? Specially the first Ram?
Great film and awesome hunt! Keep after it! Took me 8 trips over 10 years to find a legal ram….
Absolutely love your films
what caliber
.300 Win Mag Ser
Gorgeous ram!
Good work!
Early on that rain looked a lot like snow?? And man, if walked that far and ran into other people, THAT would bum me.
Congratulations on a well deserved stud of a Ram! Thank you for sharing
Yeassssssss! Nice work gentlemen! Loved the video! I’ll be chasing them next year!!! Once I get my residency!
Many thanks. Great video!
Was this a fly in trip? I’ve never seen someone run into so many hunters sheep hunting. I’m not familiar with it myself but it seems so remote where you are!
Nice work guys
Somebody buy this guy some new shirts!!! Great video.
👋
So proud of you such an incredible Ram
yo is this line skiable in June?
Incredible ram, how incredibly hard and well deserving congratulations!
Bloody good video mate- how big/old did he go? I gotta get over there for a hunt at some point
Thanks! 38" a side and Aged at 9, I've had some bios say 10-11. It's hard to tell sometimes - even by the pros!
@@loganevans907 I've heard that "hard to tell" comment more than once. I think it takes sectioning and examining a tooth to be certain. Beautiful ram, well earned!
Awesome hunt! How old was the ram?
Thanks it was amazing - as most sheep hunts are! He was aged at 9, by ADFG, but i've had a few bios age him at 10-11. It's not an exact science that is for sure!
Great hunt, congrats. is that the Brooks range?
🤐
Way to go Logan! Completely random stumble upon, wasn’t even looking up sheep hunting. Looked like a great trip with a lot of ‘cold wet and miserable, but good’ as Sourdough would’ve commented. Next’ time get the shot on camera! P.S. Got a little controversy in the comments taboot.😅
Thank you! It all makes life more interesting. Cheers
This is Rob Murray by the way, wasn’t sure if CZcams shows that. First time I’ve commented on here.
@@RobMurray-lg5gw Holy buckets. that adds a new level of wow! Hope you and the fam are well! I selfishly hope you all come back to AK sometime soon :)
thanks for bringing us along. always a joy to follow someone's hunting adventure.
Great film, thank you for sharing! Unbelievable scenery!
LEGEND!
Consider a different hobby. Hunters take big , often dominant and healthy males out of the gene pool. Also your having fun killing stuff. Im no vegetarian but why go out of your way to kill wild life ? They dont have much left ( in terms of non-human effected living opportunity ). Technically hunting for sport is probably one of the most dishonorable hobbies possible. The animal doesn't even know its in combat, its just an execution.
First off, humans have been hunting from the dawn of time. Next, just because you lack the capability and/or the grit to kill your own food doesn't mean everyone feels that way. Your grasp of reality, or lack there of, is great example of someone completely out of touch....
@@jackwagon1798 I am aware of how long humans have hunted. I have hunted ground hogs at a family's farm, and fished ( technically counts ). I am confident in my grasp of reality. Very confident, better then most around me infact. Feels like a random counter attack, like calling someone " a stupid ". This is modern times, choose your battles. Hunt if you want, but you wont win the logic war on if hunting is right or wrong ( except over population, or needing to catch your own food ). Incredibly rare that someone is actually out there hunting their own food because they have to / choose to for honorable reasons. It is most likely just another man that gets off on the hunt and the kill. Like.... shoot at non living targets, play a first person shooter video game. Anything other then sentient life ?
Alaskan native and proud. My family has been doing this for millennia. I'm teaching my children as well. Send me your tears.
@@loganevans907 After i mail the tears, will you crystalize the salt from them, turn that into buck shot, and then go blast bambi frolicking around ? A fluffy bunny rabbit chewing some grass ? Maybe a wild cutieduck just duckin around ? Will you ? Just joking, do your thing, use your judgement.
1) We take the “big, often dominant and healthy males…” because that is the requirement of the Alaska hunting regulations which, by the way, are established by wildlife biologists for the purposes of maintaining a healthy, sustainable population. These aren’t threatened or endangered species here. 2) hunting and “killing stuff” is the way of men; it always has been, and it always will be, regardless of whether or not you like it. You can continue to get your hormone injected, pen raised protein from the grocery store-which is a major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions and reduced albedo of the suns electromagnetic radiation-while we take part in the natural process of attaining our own meat…which has no environmental impact…unlike the meat industry. 3) You are making a claim based on moral relativism by stating that, “the sheep doesn’t know it’s in combat … It’s just an execution.” What about the millions of livestock slaughtered every year; are their lives less valuable because they were raised in pens or stuck with needles? These sheep lived a good life, free and wild until they were taken with a clean, ethical kill…I’d rather support that than having animals fenced in, given growth hormones, and forced to live for the sole purpose of “execution” in order to feed your ignorant face. That, my friend, is much more dishonorable when juxtaposed with the amount of respect this hunter showed for that sheep; the fair chase, the ethical kill, and the many years this animal was able to roam free in the mountains.
Gorgeous ram, and hunting the hard way. Great stuff!
Dream hunt. Congrats man. Heck of a ram.
Heck of a hunt. Great photography. A couple dandy rams. Good job guys. 👊👍
Will guarantee you will never forget this hunt,it is imprinted in your memory and heart forever.
Absolutely epic video boys, enjoyed it thoroughly an got me dreaming about sheep hunting with my son. It was like you brought us along on your hunt the way you did the video 👍👊.
I watched this vid 2 yrs ago and really enjoyed it. Saved it in a folder to someday watch again. Well since then, I received a serious health diagnosis that found me in a hospital bed for weeks at a time or convalescing at home here in Alaska. These confinement periods were the perfect time to watch hunting vids and believe me they helped get me through. Another reason I watched so many videos was because I wanted to create and upload a vid to CZcams of a tok sheep hunt I did in 2016, which I finally loaded in March. Watching other vids, both good and not so good was a great learning tool. Today I watched yours again, and I have to say, that after watching virtually every sheep hunting video available, yours stands out as the best. There are many reasons for this but the one that stands out. I found that in practically every other sheep video, the hunters go on and on about how difficult what they're doing is. Statements like, "we just climbed 1500 feet" and "now we gotta pack this ram in our 100 lb packs 12 miles back to the airstrip " or "you really got to be in shape if you want to hunt sheep", etc, etc. None of these things of course need to be said because it is self evident by watching their films how much work is involved; other sheep hunters know this from experience but even flatland hunters most likely arrive at the same conclusion. Watch enough of these vids and after awhile it comes across as boasting...and it gets old. I watched a popular Canadian hunter on a sheep hunt recently who couldn't get away from boasting about his great shape. He took a very nice ram and then told his viewing audience, "I earned this ram". Really? Did you? Thanks for telling me because what, I couldn't tell that by watching the video? But your video Logan, even though over an hour long, didn’t do that which is a rarity. You didnt boast about your feats, but rather met the demands of your hunt with Alex as they came. It was obvious to all who have seen this vid, how much work was involved.....without self praise. In fact, when terrain, weather issues arose you guys actally made light of the matter or even laughed at yourselves (as in climbing the hill twice to make sure sheep were still there). This is all a very long way of saying that one seemingly small factor about your vid makes a huge difference in my opinion. Great job. That so many have viewed it speaks to that.
You are too kind sir. I hope you heal up well and can get back into the mountains we all love. I’ll be going back for a ram this year, I’ll try my best to make a great film for all to enjoy!
Right on...good luck
WOW! Great hunt and adventure!!
I'm coming to ur bace baby
Thats awesome wish I would of done that when I was younger
Very exciting adventure, stay careful my brother
Great video. My brother and I used to hunt sheep with my dad in the Baird Mountains of NW AK. We got some bruisers over the years. The unit’s been closed for many years now due to low pop numbers. Climate change I guess. I’m born and raised in Kotzebue and trap and hunt all year long. Our winters are long, cold, windy, and dark. For the life off me I don’t know how any of these Dall Sheep survive winters up here. Rough country. I have 3 girls now and two boys. My boys have never been able to hunt sheep. So sad because it’s such a memorable, difficult, but super rewarding hunt. Hopefully one of these years before I get too old our unit 23 sheep hunt will reopen. But if not I need to go find a place like ram town to take them. I’m 51, my boys are 14 and 18. As for now, I can only watch videos and reminisce. Thanks again.
It's incredible how well adapted they are, but also so incredibly tough. Thanks for watching, and good luck to you!
Great hunt, better video! Well done, gentlemen! I also wrecked my body at a young age...but it was worth it. :). Now I get to live vicariously through the eyes of strong young guys like you. Congrats on a lifetime hunt.
Thanks Al!
Stuck eating sheep Jerky!!!
Beautiful big ram!!
Shale suks except when your going down!!
Such incredible country guys thought you'd see more game?!
I like it when I don't die!?
Great story. Thanks for sharing
