This is the official CZcams channel of Tibetan Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (TCHRD), a registered non-governmental human rights organisation established in 1996 in Dharamsala, India.
TCHRD is the first Tibetan non-governmental organization to be formed with the mission to promote human rights of Tibetans in Tibet and to educate the exile Tibetan community on human rights concepts and democratic principles.
TCHRD conducts regular, systematic investigations of human rights abuses in Tibet and publishes research documents on various human rights issues confronted by the Tibetan people in Tibet.
TCHRD is the only human rights NGO entirely run and staffed by Tibetans in exile.

Tsering Tso confronts local police over racially discriminatory permit enforcement against Tibetans
In the video, Tsering Tso confronts local police in Gomri Township, Drachen County, over racially discriminatory permit enforcement against Tibetans. The monks, on a pilgrimage to central Tibet, are being barred by the police under the pretext of permit requirements. While recording the video, Tsering Tso urges the monks to continue their journey and not comply with such racially motivated treatment.
In July last year, Tsering Tso shared a video online from Lhasa Railway Station on Chinese social media, where she exposed the railway authorities for blatant racial discrimination against Tibetan passengers. In the video, she highlighted how Tibetans were asked to present additional documents while Chinese tourists passed through without any scrutiny. The state later deleted the video.

Great show. Hope , this isn’t the first and the last show. It was a great learning experience listening to our young intellectuals. But; one thing came to my observation was that the youth intellectuals seem to lack connection with the elders in our society. If you do not connect with the elders you learn nothing from their life experiences. There are numerous reasons why your elders seem to take sides. Do you know, U’Twangs people used to say; these Khampa people … and ..the Khapa people used to say the same thing..these Bhoespa people to U’Tsang people. We have lot of healings to do from our own old wounds. You guys have just cut your umbilical cord from your university text books . You have intellectually accumulated high level of knowledge that with experience will pick up wisdom. Do not just poor-a-thing the elders. Because; the short falls is on ether side . If you have the well informed college education, they have a life long experience they lived . Your elders do not necessarily follow the queen ant. We too think responsibly too ; as individuals . That doesn’t mean we always get the things right especially; according to the time frame we live in. Rightly so , we definitely need to learn from the younger generation. And you need to have a little patience with us as well. Do not lose heart. Having said that, I can’t be prouder of our youths . Everyone of you are a promise for Tibet’s tomorrow .
