It is very sensible of you to make and be creative when possible: bread, cakes, knitting, crochet, running a lovely home all while working too, An elderly friend of mine once told me,"When life is chaotic put your mind into your hands and be creative". Your cake looked delicious, I love that recipe it always seems to turn out well. I am going to make the Mary Berry crunchy topped lemon cake tomorrow, another recipe that seems to be fool proof. You had some lovely purchases from your local fabric shop, I look forward to seeing what you make with your new fabrics. They certainly had a nice selection to choose from. Hi Belinda, I'm sorry you haven't been feeling good! But I must say I really take my hat off to you because nervous tummy or not you still do what you set out to do and don't let it stop you. My anxiety on the other hand has stopped me from doing many things but you seem to push through it and that's a real inspiration to me! 😊 I also wanted to say that I also loved Keeping Up Appearances and it gave a huge smile when you mentioned it. Yum, that pavlova with cream and strawberries is a favorite summer dessert here in New Zealand, we usually have it at Christmas, which is usually hot here.

My son has become vegan and has found its really helped his stomach problems. Your shawl is beautiful as is that pink hydrangea. I am working on a small quilt with embroidery using recycled fabrics for my grand daughter at the moment. Living in the Dales I am biased but its gorgeous here even though after a lovely day yesterday it is now pouring with rain. Have a good week x
