more talk less action its likes watching showbiz talk show
13:25 We all felt that, amigo.
very cool!
That blade is coming together real nice! Can't wait for the next video.
Omg, why does everything have to be “Damascus”, always. Every single knife maker. Everyone.
"Man I wish I could squint my ears, that'd be so convenient." lmao
Awesome spear man! I’d be interested in seeing a field test with it 😊
Sweet
sword next
You should anneal the rivet while your flattening it, I'm pretty sure brass work hardens but not 100%
it does work harden, think i should have had less brass poking out
Now, about the halberd . . .
Great job don’t let the haters weigh you down you’re an amazing person!
Nice bro! Now lets see what it can do? Pumpkin or watermelon slaying video
Dope ass spear, my guy. Good video
nice
Uh oh not good not gooooood
It looks amazing
Awesome, I'm a beginner, is there a way to prevent this when forge welding, I was trying to think of what I would do in this situation and was stumped.
Watched the original video(on making the Damascus) and I didn't see him set the welds after removing the jacket, if he did on his press it doesn't look strong enough or maybe it wasn't hot enough to make a proper weld?
i think what happened was i put too much stress on the weld when drawing out the blade, i should have took it slow but i got overconfident hehe
After a rewatch I definitely see what you mean lol, thx for the tip, haven't worked with Damascus yet but will definitely look out for that when the time comes
Dope
wow such a amazing pattern i cant wait to see more with this blade
Such a nice blade! Are you going to be able to use the smaller piece that broke off?
maybe, it got kinda crusty so its prob not worth it
You could try serpentine Damascus next and possibly use that bit for it
Not tea bag 👍
awesome!
Hi Zach, your videos are really interesting. There is a very real human quality to them that a lot of bigger channels don't have. Looking forward to the next video, I would like to see the knife in its final form. By the way, what do you do with the knives you make?
thanks!! i dont do anything with the knives right now, but maybe...i will idk
"Promo SM"
😂 amszing and funniy
Not alot of people can say they beat them by 5 😂
When you resemble a slot, you chop 5 bottles.
You should work on your enunciation if you’re going to create content. You talk like a child.
Not 28 not 29 but 5! Love it knife looks awesome
Another misconception or rather a misinterpretation, is in the name... it's stainLESS, not stainFREE...
People's biggest misconception that I've seen is that they think of stainless as a metal... not as a classification of metals, some are great for knives... others are okay at being refrigerator houses
Very funny video and nice build.
most people would not have a clue what makes up stainless, let alone what it can and can not do.
Dull knife more dangerous than a sharp, ask a doctor which is easy to stitch back together.
What most people have is a misconception of stainless steel in the first place. It isn’t just one type of metal. There are several versions of SS some is magnetic and some isn’t. Which version is best for you depends on your situation. They make razor blades out of it so it can’t be all bad.
Now make a 40th century warhammer
Never say never lol.
You ever heard the term "fall on your sword" ??? Be careful when you say never young man
@@bigreddog502 that's what I just said.
@@northsidetrev5035 I meant to put that under his main comments my bad, an yeah I elaborated on the idea 😂
Race a friend. Point for speed and structure.
Your brass split and did that because you had too much outside of the metal to work down without heating it to release work hardening stress. Trim the brass closer to the least amount you will need for the head of the rivet.
awesome!
Time to hunt the great beasts of yore. Also, i own a spear because thats what the founding neanderthals wanted.
11:50 "...the whole handle would be like homophobic so the wood..." is purple, to teach it some diversity. Its pretty, what finish?
I think I went to 1000 grit then buffed with steel wool, I don't remember 🤣
I want to see the edge and grit sequence. hey I'm 111
Great job again
problem for tomorrow
I wholeheartedly endorse the ongoing war between bladed-edge enthusiasts and the bottled-water industry.
Nice work and great looking blade.
