My name is Kenney" BigSkinny" Pope. I'm a former radio personality and food enthusiast. I am passionate about cooking. I want to share my cooking with you. A great gathering always includes food with friends and family. We do a boil of some sort every year. This year, we celebrated the upcoming wedding of our daughter and future son-in-law. It was a great time with about 60 people in attendance. Being as crawfish was sky high this year we opted for shrimp.

Wouldn’t the lettuce come out too wilted?
You just leave it on there for a few seconds and no it captures the smoke and it’s amazing
Or obtain and learn to run a stick burner….
I own several stick burners and it’s not always convenient to fire up the pit on a weekday after work. Is it something to use on the weekend if you have a stick burner absolutely not.

I am a gill man , not a great one but I can grill steaks and other things ..... I do like the idea of this smoke tube I might get one . I currently use a smoke box .

Sorry, cook with real wood or cheat with a pellet grill. Leave your propane and propane accessories with hank.

My only concern is, due to the low air flow in a pellet grill, will this cause any issues with it going out? Anyone know? It looks like a great addition
Not sure what you are accomplishing here. You said meat, not cheese. To me, that is just useless. How would that work 12 to 16 hours? For a 20 pound roast? A hamburger? Not on my grill. A waste of time to me.

I use mine all the time cold smoking grav lox, nova lox, cheeses, or whatever. Helps to let it burn well for about 5 minutes before blowing it out. Put your meat up high along the channel where the smoke has to travel depending on your setup.

Try to put less briquettes on top next time, so you can reach a nice and golden crust cooked at the right temperature. Great video 👌🏽

I have one, and it works fantastic, I use it when I cold smoke cheese. It was about seventy degrees outside when I used mine. The temperature inside the smoker never got above seventy-two degrees..
I’ve got several of these, I find it difficult to keep it smoking when temps are over 225, I’m guessing it has something to do with low oxygen in a hotter pit? Any suggestions, I keep it lit at least 5 minutes before blowing out.
I usually keep mine lit for 10 minutes before I blow it out
Never thought about using evaporated milk. Wondering if you could make an easy biscuits and gravy with it
We use it all time for our biscuits and gravy while camping. Saves alot of space in the cooler.

I have used this cooker in a lot of different configurations. I did want this to burn a little hotter just to be sure we got the fat rendered down. But you are correct. Those extra holes do allow some air (oxygen) that feeds the fire.
How do the smoke not taste dirty I thought you supposed to get a clear smoke someone run me down on this I’m 17 but I’ve been grilling for years on a $20 Walmart grill with charcoal and applewood or mesquite wood chunks I’ve just now recently got a pellet grill and it’s super easy but not the same
Fill it half way and get 1-2 hours. If you use it for 5+ hours I’d imagine you get dirty smoke flavor
I use mine all the time when I don't wanna fire up the smoker.. Also use it to smoke cheese. Occasionally it does flame up, gotta watch it...

It smokes consistently and in my opinion no dirty smoke. Works great

@@bigskinnysbackyardcookingandmo I used it to smoke a whole slab of pork belly today inside my Traeger and it did an amazing job best for belly I ever had the husband and children cannot keep their hands off of it half of the slab is already gone right after I cut it up

I'm still making. I toast ancho chilis until fragrant and then boil in chicken stock for added flavor. toast a little garlic powder with the chilis as well to add even more flavor

No dirty smoke. Like using a pellet smoker as far as the taste goes
No dirty taste. If u don't have a smoker, they're perfect for inside your BBQ U choose flavors 😋
