I just wanted to show how much you had to cut away when you straightened the castle. I agree that the distortion worked better than the 1x1 crop. My point was that in these situations, a bit more room would benefit the scene. I totally get that you missed it. I've been chasing after northern lights for years, but somehow, I seem to keep missing it. I will probably run around like a headless chicken myself. When I finally encountered it 😅 the dragonfly shot was absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing your images and participating in the video. I really appreciate it! Grt guido

That is great! Amsterdam is a nice city. Ut you live pretty close to a great city also! If you want to photography remember that the time window is small for the great images with lights on in the houses. Most people go to sleep at around 23.00, so then they turn a lot of lights off in the houses, which make the shots a little less interesting. Of course, the street lights and cafes and bars keep their lights on, but those extra lights through the windows upstairs give the images a nice feel. So make sure to plan enough time. Dankjewel. Het was een erg leuke video om te maken en ik heb inderdaad geprobeerd om uitsluitend positief over de fotos te praten. Positieve feedback is wat ik vaak mis bij anderen. Een foto afkraken kunnen we allemaal maar vertellen was beter kan is voor sommige erg lastig. Ik ben al een tijdje bezig met een high res video maar ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik nog niet voldoende goede voorbeeldeb verzameld heb. Dit komt mede door het fijt dat de verschillen tussne de verschillende high res modes extreem gerijg zijn voor zover ik tot op heden gezien heb. Ik ben nog op zoek naar een shot met een waanzinnig dynamisch bereik. Wellicht dat er dan meer zichtbaar word. Hoe dan ook er word aan gewerkt alleen ik durf nog feen definitieve datum te noemen 😅 Bedankt voor het kijken weer. Grt guido

Het was een prima foto maar de belangrijkste tip die ik voor je heb is plaats alleen goede foto's zoals jij ze wilt en niet omdat het formaat niet past op instagram. Ik word helemaal ziek van dat instagram het is zo beperkt in wat je kan qua formaat. Ik plaats zelf liever geen foto dan iets waar ik niet blij mee ben. Bedankt voor het deelnemen! Grt guido

Best een leuk idee om een keer een OM only te doen. Ik krijg zowieso veel vragen om er nog 1 te maken dus wie weet 🙂 ik wilde eigenlijk de exif data ook erbij doen maar blijkbaar heeft niet iedereen dat standaard in de foto. Dat eendje was een grappig moment. Moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik hem anders in gedacht had toen ik hen maakt maar ben niet ontevreden. De sluitertijden zijn idd de tijden die in de exif gegevens staan. Alleen met high-res foto's staat daar soms een gemiddelde ofzo dan wijkt het soms heel erg af van wat ik gebruikt heb dus dan zoe ik het een beetje op herrinering. Ja de 150-400 is inmiddels weer terug. Volgens mij was dit de laatste video zonder ( voorlopig ) geen idee hoelang ik deze weer mag houden 😅 bedankt voor het kijken. Grt guido

@@GuidoVanDeWater och weetje, koop gewoon zelf een 150-400. Als bedrijf kun je de btw terug krijgen of je wacht black friday af, dat zal je ook nog wel wat pegels schelen denk ik. Hoe dan ook de 150-400 is een wereld lens.

I'm quite fortunate with so much choice in lenses. Buy there is only one lens that I didn't buy myself it's the 150-400 that is on loan from OM system. The rest is bought over a long period of time before I became an ambassador, so I guess I missed out on most of the advantages 😅 what lenses are you hoping to get this year and were are you from? I should try that dxo once. I had lots of positive comments about that but I've never used it. Like you I'm also very comfortable in my om system. Wouldn't switch it in the world. It's everything that I could ask for considering gear. I also bought a new printer recently but I went for the canon prograf p1000. @@GuidoVanDeWater Yes, I'm sorry about that, I normally try to check whether or not someone has already posted the same thing as I know how annoying it is to get the same advice multiple times. But I think it wasn't in English so I missed it, that's my excuse anyway. I live in a town called Rosebud which is about 55kms south of Melbourne in Victoria. It is on the bay on which Melbourne is situated and we don't get anywhere near the amount of fog that you do. It is semi rural with a number of market gardens within 5 minutes drive of where I live. It is a beautiful area known as the Mornington Peninsula that has both bay beaches facing pretty much north of where I live and ocean beaches facing southwest towards Tasmania across Bass Straight less than 15 minutes drive away. Although I mainly try to photograph wildlife, birds mainly, your photo's through the mist are inspiring.

@petedent8356 no worries at all! I really don't mind when people spend me tips multiple times. I actually don't mind people sending messages at all ( except for the bad threatening once but luckely that was only 3 times in 2.5 years). The best thing about this channel is communicating with everyone around the world. Wow you live in a beautofull area. I always pinpoint location on my map just in case I once visit there and I see 3 pretty close to were you live. 12 apostle, grampian np and as a pinguin love of course Philip island 🙂 I don't know if I'm ever going to make it over there but who knows someday...I hear that a lot about the fog. Most people living around the coast rarely have fog. Guess I'm trying to avoid it sometimes but it just keeps chasing me around 😅 they even started calling me the fogmen for it 🙂 anyway thanks for the comment I appreciate it l! Grt guido

Haha, it is all staged like in the movies. Sometimes I also do explosions and stuf 😅 no I have no idea. I guess I'm just very good in predicting conditions like this, and I live in an area that has lots of these days a year. Especially over the past year there was so much rain. Oh wow, that is an old camera, but I hear it a lot. Why change when you're still satisfied with your camera? I'm convinced that there is more improvement in us photographers than there is in the camera itself. This video is from a while ago. Tried to tell my story multiple times over the past 2.5 years but never seemed to get it correctly. Now infeld this was the right moment. So I just threw it out there. Dankjewel! Het komt niet vaak voor maar dit keer zat ik zelf ook met verbazing te foto's te bewerken haha. Maar goed dit was dan ook al 2 maanden terug opgenomen dus was het al bijna vergeten. OM System waardeerd het zeker ik denk dat ik me alleen wat meer ij de picture van de andere landen moet brengen. Engelse en duitse ok System zijn vele malen groter dan nederland dus daar zijn zeker mogelijkheden. Bedankt voor het kijken weer en je leuke comment! Grt guido

@@GuidoVanDeWater Ik las net dat dit in Maasduinen is. Begin september moeten we even in Venlo zijn. Volgens mij is dit niet zo ver daar vandaan. Misschien is er tijd dat ik daar eens kan gaan kijken naar die mooie vrijstaande boompjes, die heb je hier niet zoveel, tenzij ik een zaag meeneem 😅

@nancyvanlieshout3076 van venlo naar dit specifieke plekje is ongeveer 40 minuten denk ik. Het is het meest noordelijke stukje van np de maasduinen bij het plaatsje afferden. Het stukje heet het quin. De boompje staan niet eens zo los als je misschien denkt maar het is vooral de mist die hier vaak hangt. Venlo is wel even een stukje rijden voor jou 😉 stuur me even een berichtje als je gaat wellicht ben ik ook daar ergens te vinden. Overigens is het hele stuk maasduinen erg fraai. Er zijn meerdere gebieden die ik met regelmaat bezoek. "De hamert" bij het plaatsje wellerlooi is ook erg mooi. Het "eendenmeer" bij nieuw bergen en de "ravenvennen" bij venlo. Maar dat stukje bij het quin is verreweg mijn favoriet!

@nancyvanlieshout3076 those dogs are so cute! We actualy thought of buying one because my wife is allergic to animals and it seems that labradoodles are great for that. But in the end we just don't have enough time to take proper care of the dog. Maybe in a few years time.

I did indeed do a manual focus on the tree, and I actually do it a lot when conditions are as foggy as here. When there is so much fog, the camera often doesn't focus or focuses on the fog. So I just focus on the tree and then wait for the fog to be exactly in the right spot. I keep the aperture low for the same reason. To high and too much of the fog gets in focus, which sometimes makes the images look noisy. But it's not noise it's just fog. Thanks for watching and your comment! Grt guido
