Fly Fishing Gacka on a summer morning (2021)
I fished Gacka for a day last summer as I usually do when passing by. I want to share the footage with you as people complain there are no fish there anymore. A lot has changed but there are still good brown trout (several strains) there although they are quite difficult to catch for the average angler. Rainbows are not stocked anymore. They were easier to catch of course. Saw only very few insects!!! :-(

Hallo , ich habe ein Problem :( ich habe immer wieder Knoten im Vorfach , was mache ich falsch ?
Die Rute entlädt bei dir beim Vorschwung oder Rückschwung nach oben (ansteigende Rutenspitze). Die Gründe dafür sind veilfältig. Meist ist die Beschleunigungsbewegung nicht progressiv oder das Timing stimmt nicht. EventuelI machst du diese Aufwärtsbewegung auch durch die Rutenhand. In jedem Fall wird deine Rutenspitze während des Wurfes kurz nach unten gezogen und entlädt dann nach oben. Sorry, ich schaue nur auf CZcams, wenn ich mal etwas reinstelle. Dadurch kann es sein, dass ich erst nach Monaten antworte.

"Moving the line hand in a circle" results in less hauling speed compared to a straight path. Exactly why in the WC no one uses this technique.

Verzeihung, aber Neu erfunden sind diese Würfe nicht. Die sind halt aus der Zweihandwurf Technik "Scandinavian Style" auf Einhand adaptiert.
Scandinavian Style ist nichts anderes als die Unterhandtechnik von Göran Andersson. Da der Name Unterhand jedoch geschützt war, haben Skandinavier begonnen, den Begriff Skandinavian Style zu verwenden. Das ist jedoch grundlegend falsch, da es sich im Gegensatz zu einem Stil bei Unterhand um eine Technik (!) handelt. Göran ist ein guter Freund von mir, und er wirft diesen Wurf ganz anders als ich. Dass der Magic Switch auf dem Unterhand Prinzip aufbaut, habe ich im Video klar erwähnt.
Danke für das weitergeben ihres Wissens. Der Switchcast macht mich echt an! Ich habe mir est gestern überlegt eine Lee Wulff TT Ambush zu bestellen, aber in #3. Die hat eine kurze Keule aber lohnt sich ein Switchcast, auch bei kleinen Klassen?

You are not correct. If you look carefully, he does not do that. He only moves his hands back into the initial starting position again(position after the lift before the body turns) in order to get a good and perfect stop. It is perhaps not easy to see because of the angle but he is definitely not pushing with the upper hand.
Push out and pull in, all with bottom hand after the lift. All power coming from bottom hand.
Ich stehe an der Küste wie bringe ich zum Beispiel einen Schusskopf aufs Wasser ? Un dann den Switchcast zu benutzen?
An der Küste wird zwar mit Schussköpfen gearbeitet aber weniger mit Würfen mit Wasserkontakt. Die Ruten für die Überkopfwerferei mit Schussköpfen sind eher sehr schnelle Spitzenaktionsruten, um die Schnurschlaufen besonders beim Werfen gegen den Wind eng zu halten während für das Werfen mit Switchcasts Unterhandruten oder progressive Mid-Flex Ruten verwendet werden.
@ Was soll ich unter Mid-Flex Action verstehen? Sind damit Ruten gemeint, die von der Rutenspitze bis Zur oberen Rutenhälfte

Wenn der wirklich gute Caster, diesen Wurf auch mit der Linken Hand ausführen? Ich als nicht promineter Fliegenfischer beherrsche mit Linker und Rechter Hand Fritz Raddatz, Plön
Linke oder rechte Hand spielt keine Rolle. Ich werfe diese Würfe sowohl mit der linken als auch mit der rechten Hand, doch in der Regel ist eine Hand stärker. Dann verwendet man für die Gegenseite den Backhand Switch.

The doctors/othodentist etc. whom frown like king george the 7th when 'casting' their 'fantastic technique' (not) over the trout stocked concrete payed troutfisheries while wearing way to much,totally in Simms waders,jackets with all the gear that is now trendy. While fishing from the grass and concrete sidewalks surounding the fisherie!. Just to show of,like the mercs/bmw's etcetera. Sadly don't apreciate at all the fantastic gear Loop is ,like me. Live is so unfair,Thordamn. Haha.

Nice video, looks so easy when you do it! What line would you use if you were using a daiwa whisker 11' 3" H fly rod? Would appreciate any advice.
Actually, this is how to cast scandi spey casting. not like many other semi-versions (often a mix of spey, skagit, etc..) like you see on many other videos on youtube. see how easy and with very little movements (specially with the upper hand) he cast the line. many other use too much upper hand, this is wrong!!!! watch, remember the basics, and start to practise!

@guyfishnz It is indeed a top destination. You will catch your tarpon there even if you are not an educated fly caster. You should try the other day...
