Be ware cr,500 is still ,beast.
Have you got the whole race? 🤞🏻
Awesome
I don’t know what he’S sayin but goddam. Should I come over
I don't know how many 80s 250r's I have owned, but I have an 89 250 r in the garage..Thanks Roger!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ils sont partis sans moi quand je pense j'aurais pu gagner pour moi plus 10 2 x😮
Beautiful! Proper 'old school motocross', at its best, back in the 70s and 80s. Just love that crisp, meaty sound of those 500 two strokes, too - you can just smell the Putoline pre-mix! 👌😎
Real Motocross 🇺🇸
Belles années du motocross 👍‼️
Honda riders were the greatest. I don’t know if it was a bike itself, but they knew what to ride and how to do it on them
I love the back of his leathers Royles Noice
Very noyce ,real noyce
Noyce boy... Real steel movie... Spenny cool videos of early stages of motocross...
my fav year....1981.....start of the 80's bikes!!!
I had a 1976 Kawasaki KX400 that I bought new by selling rabbits shot with my .22
Me and Guy Smith were there from Stourbridge 44 years ago xx
Bravo dede on't toublira jamais
Man that suspension left a lot to be desired. Damn good riders just to get around the track back then.
proper moto cross track, sorted the men from the boys it was rough and tough :)
I still have my 93' CR500. Love it still.
Had a 1979 kx 80 memories
The 45degree ramp in Ettelbrück/Warken was only used by 500cc. 125cc and 250cc took the bypass. I had the chance to see as young boy old star Roger Decoster and of course Andre Malherbe and many other Belgian drivers. With Namur/Citadelle best track.
Big Noyce 💪
G. Noyce was the Winner of a Veteran - Race in Holice ( CSSR ) in May 1988.....( with Ex - World Champion 500 ccm 1966 - 1968 Paul Friedrichs, GDR, in his last Race ), to see in GDR - Television.....
Not a table top or double jump in sight. Sensational.
THE. BEST. YEARS
Wow I purchased that bike in 95' sold it to Mugen Honda specialist who has fully restored it after it had spoiled in my shed for 11 years 🙂
If you think about it, Brad Lackey's accomplishment is that much more impressive because no other american has won the world championship in the premier class. And it doesnt look like its going to happen ever again! Brad Lackey deserves a lot more credit and recognition for this feat. As a kid I followed his career through the GP's as he rode for three different manufacturers in his quest for the title. I would read in Cycle News of the knockdown, brutal battles that he had with the european riders, especially Malherbe. Hat's off to you, Brad!
Nice post!
The beginning of a new era with long travel suspension technology exploding! Great video, wish I knew French?
jean jacques bruno
bonjour, merci pour cette vidéo, je cherche le gp de france 500cc 1980 ,merci d'avance
Good lord humans and their insatiable need to speak. It would have been nice to hear those engines running!
Great old videos, we need the big bore 2 strokes back...
To the three thumbs down on this video.... I got one thing to say, go and watch golf.
I used to race with this guy in corsham school scrambling club early 70s
I used to race with this guy in corsham school scrambling club early 70s
MX is 2 strokes ...smoke , smell, sound , instant power , ...I´m sorry , 4 strokes seem to me a Hot Rod burning front tires...no sense to me...
Can’t agree any stronger!
Sample? Why not load the whole video? It would be nice👌 to see the whole race.
Lovely motocross the 70s 80s was great time in the sport fantastic riders people wonderful
Cameraman.... " I give each rider 2.7 seconds and cut the film.
U dont see track s like that anymore..... I seriously dont know how these guys threw these big bore 2strokes round yhese tracks...... Absolutely hideous!!
God wat mis ik deze tijd.
Thanks so much for posting this! There is so little film of the championship season in 1982, of the year Brad Lackey won. It was a big deal to me as a kid and it’s great to see video of any round from 1982👍
Jesus this guy's Noyce.
Noyce was out for much of the season due to injuries , Malherbe had it easy in 1980 lol
Rolls noyce was the man. Loved moto x back then
Where is the rest : ) great footage
I was so happy for Brad Lackey winning the championship that year, he deserved it so much...and he deserved to be the first American. Danny Laporte almost took that honor away from him, which would have been a real shame given all the years of effort that Lackey put in. It was a big deal, an American winning the world championship, especially on a 500. My favorite two world champions of motocross are Brad Lackey and Akira Watanabe. They both really worked hard and were underdogs.
At 10:32 - Uh-oh! Someone’s mad! Shocks overheating, no more damping?
They sound even better than I remember
