I wasn't expecting to find a fish scale crotal bell on this farm as I have never had one off this land before .

I can't, I have been practicing but it ain't working.
Try turning the call over to the opposite notch, position as shown and try to blow and hum again. With some calls the pitch may be slightly lower on the other side.😃👍

mine must be from another batch or be more manufactured, understanding what it explains and what you do to perfection, but the timbre is not even remotely similar to yours, no matter how much I practice the timbre and the tone in it what sounds can not be changed

metal detectors are how you understand them,,found lots of money with a cheap one many years ago,they all work, now have expensive machines,same outcome,

What do you use the crow call for? Does it assist in 'befriending the crows'
Lmfao i suppose it could but no it is meant to assist in shooting the vermin.
@@devinpatterson2185 I have no issues with you shooting the guys, particularly in areas where the crows are a danger to crops. Personally I prefer befriending them they are just not annoying enough for me to want to kill. I may not want 'my birds' to be killed through.
@@chadliampearcy crows and ravens are bastards. They move into an area and kill or chase off most of the song birds. Besides the crop damage they also kill sick and newborn livestock literally pecking through the side of the birthing animal and eating the eyes and tongues of the newborn lambs and calves as their heads pop out. As well as preying on chicks and chickens and tearing garbage bags up to get at food that wasteful slobs through away. They are what you'd consider to be an invasive species or a pestilence and their territory is always expanding because of people who would rather befriend them than try to keep the balance.
cool. thanks for sharing the technique. now I only need to order one, and practise. I don't wanna hunt crows, I like to feed them peanuts from my balcony, which I am already doing by throwing them like 50ft away, but they are very very cautious, understandably, and prefer to pick them up when I'm gone. Do you happen to know different calls, like "feeding time" or "danger". If you do, that would make an epic video if you could explain different crow calls. Thanks again and good hunting, although I would prefer if you spare the crows and hunt deer instead. cheers!

@@melissesilhan2208 used one of these today and the crows were silent looking at me. They still fed but no noises at all. But it was 8pm, also they stole the pot that the moist cat kibble was in lol. I had to hunt the pot down it was on a 14foot high brick wall. Cheeky crows!

Great just dug it out after 15 years as I'm on a lot of crow control now, would be so greatful to see how you do that.

Well I am sure it's going to work just fine mate . Just one more thing that I didn't add on my video, on your crow call you will have a metal loop to attach to a lanyard. When you try out the method I have shown you try turning the call as you will get a more realistic sound on one side than the other . I found that when you have found the best side note where the ring is and then it will be easy to remember the best side for the best sound. Hi Chris, just got back from a couple of hours on my shoot. Very quiet today. Tried the call, but more practice required!!! I think the crows across in the other wood ( not on my patch) were pissing em selves 😂😂😂 probably saying, listen to that dick, he thinks it's Christmas !! 😂 I'll keep practicing, and you posted ! @@chrisgrahame Your instructions are really helpful. I just got the call yesterday. Im just fine tuning the crow call now but i did manage to pull two in this morning while practicing from around half a mile away. Couldnt get the hang of the jackdaw call yesterday at all. I tried again today and im starting to get the hang of it so big thumbs up from me 🖒
