𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟏,𝟖𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝
From its winding streams and creek beds, to its cascading ponds and rolling prairies, this dynamic landscape transforms around you, and in the process, changes something within you, too.
Its wide expanses and wilderness of pines and hardwoods provide a sense of belonging and oneness with the world. You can sense its power in the herons, deer, beavers and coyotes who call it home. And discover its inspiration in the sweeping arcs of the endangered Indiana bats that come here to roost and fly free. Whether you find yourself reflecting along creek beds and wetlands, or wandering in the shadows of historic silos and stables, you’ll experience the diversity and magic of this unique landscape as it whistles through majestic pine stands, and gurgles over the bedrock of ancient creeks - blanketing these nearly 2,000 acres in peace and tranquility.
Let’s celebrate this land. Honor its history. And leave a legacy that endures for generations to follow.

As a Plainfield 65 year old citizen, I’m very concern about when walking on our beautiful Plainfield trails is when I pass runners running the opposite way and they insist running in groups and taking half the path. As they run the air they expel is hard and fast and goes a lot further than normal breathing. Why can’t they run in a single file and at the same time keep the proper distance from others. In today new norm it is common curtesy to keep your distance. Today when taking my dog for a walk, I asked a group of runners why they must run in a group and not single file. Their answer was running in single file was not sociable. They had no respect for anyone else on the trail. I can see if the virus does not slow spreading our trails will be closed for everyone. How can get the message out to all trail users?
