Where is that Wittamer shop? Doesn't look like the Sablon one... try the macarons at Marcolini too! 😋
You seem to roam mainly around Ixelles... you found a few cool places already. Keep looking, there are plenty more everywhere! 😎
very nice and good to follow. Thank you 🙂
I’m so glad you found it helpful :)
As a Brussels native, these video's are great!
Thanks so much! ☺️
You live in Belgium but you say we speak ‘Flemish’ wich is not a language. We speak Dutch. Are you sure you know a lot about us.
www.bbc.co.uk/languages/european_languages/languages/flemish.shtml#:~:text=Flemish%20is%20a%20West%20Germanic,of%20the%20population%20of%20Belgium. The BBC might disagree with your assessment :) We don’t have a word for ‘Nederlands’ in English.
Informative video about moving to our city, thanks for sharing! ☺
My pleasure! I’m so glad you found it helpful :)
Thank you
For expats working in Etterbeek and seeking affordable studio living options, including those open to countryside residences, what are the available choices?
Hi Sanjay, I'd recommend you check out this site: www.immoweb.be/en You can narrow down apartment listings based on zip code, maximum rental price, desired square footage, and much more. Hope this helps!
Hi! I just found channel and I’m considering moving to Brussels with my partner who is from there … I was wondering how difficult was for you to find a job there ? As an English speaker… did you need to learn French or Flammish ??? ❤
Hi @ce7983, thanks for stopping by :) I'd say that it depends a lot on where you'll be working. I teach at a studio that gives classes exclusively in English, and there are many international companies that require only English. Though, if you want to work for a local Belgian company then I think you will be required to learn French and/or Dutch. Also, for ease of living here it helps to have a bit of conversational French. Hope this helps!
agree that Brussels trash collection is a shambles, but I don't think that the sorting is particularly unique at this point. I've lived in lots of cities and they all have some sort of recycling + organic waste separation. But yeah, they really need to work on a better system.
❤❤👍👍👍👍
You are not the normal average joe bloggs body... You already have a good physique....so in reality you promoted yourself but the exercise did not benefit yourself or us... Had you had a little bit of fat or weakness in that area, then would be interesting to see how it really affected you... All we had was a pretty head
American perspective? America is a continent not a country. There are nice countries with nice people there not only the bully one.

Muy buen video, diferente a ls demas. Like y me suscribo.
Muchas gracias, Renzo! Me alegro que te haya gustado :)
Too many ninjas in Belgium. In Brussels is like middle east.
Thank you. I've been a "hater" since the first time I tried to do yoga. Today, I decided to try to change that perspective. I googled "hella fun yoga" and scrolled down to find this video. Thank you for being so mellow and sweet. I'm gonna watch this again tomorrow too, which is saying something. Yay! You rule.
Thanks so much Brookelynn! It means so much to me that you are embracing yoga so wholeheartedly :) I wish you the best of luck on your continued journey :) Just let me know if there's a specific kind of class you'd like on here and I'll see what I can put together!
@@AlexandraTempleton That is such a nice offer!! I'm gonna try the first pushup video today! You have so much nice content to explore.
@@brookelynntwentythre Best of luck on the push-up!
While you may not get to use the other two languages you studied in Brussels, having experience with other Romance languages probably helped you acquire French faster than if you hadn’t studied any. The pronunciation of French is certainly different, but the grammatical structure and vocabulary definitely have a lot in common. I imagine you could probably pick up Italian pretty easily at this point, too, as it’s very close to French in grammar while its pronunciation is more like Spanish.
That's exactly my hope! I"ll be starting an intensive French immersion course in two weeks so wish me luck :) Thanks for watching @edmerc92 and I wish you a nice day!
Very informative! I just moved here so thank you!
I'm so glad to hear that it helped you out :) Best of luck on your transition here!
Weather in BE is a big minus. Hardly summer time (mei-sept).
You're doing them completely wrong love. You're supposed keep your arms straight.
She needs to learn to do them correctly
True
Yes, are you the pretty woman I was dancing with crashed at me at a cruise ship, at Red Sea with me May 5,2024 ?
Belgium has rain, the USA has typhoons, blizzards, tornados, etc ...
You don't drink belgian beer in a huge bucket . Each beer has its own type of glass , they usually look like oversized whine glass .
Annual rain in Paris 720 mm, Brussels 807mm. Mean annual temperature Paris 11.7°C , Brussels 10.7 °c . Enough with the Brussels bashing . Avff. The girl should travel .
Schumann is not a commune it's a district .
Your french is very good ! Do you sometimes visit Wallonia ? I feel like you would love Namur and Dinant.
Thanks so much Alexandre! I'm going to keep studying it :) I have been to both Namur and Dinant and found them very nice :)
I don't know where you used to live but the weather in Brussels is better on average than the Uk and Northern Germany for instance. Great videos btw
I’m from the UK but have lived in Brussels for almost a decade, and bxl is for sure more grey. Has the most cloud cover of any major Western European city. It’s fucking depressing. But yeah we’ve had a few banging summers recently. This one has been shit so far. But yeah the fact she spends so many minutes on the weather is dumb. It’s not extreme. But look who her sponsor is…
@@HM-mw7cg I visit northern Germany a lot (Bremen, Hamburg). On lots of occasions when I left Brussels by train, it was sunny and warm, and by the time I arrived in Bremen, it was cold, rainy or foggy. A friend of mine has lived in Dublin, Brussels and Bremen and said the weather was the best in Brussels ...
I love Brussels, but there are definitely some parts of town you want to avoid, especially at night. It has the same issues as other big cities : pickpockets, garbage everywhere, drug addicts, vandalism etc ...
con 4. Some parts of Brussels you definitely want to avoid, especially at night : stations Brussels North and South, Molenbeek, Schaarbeek. Drunks or drug addicts, homeless people, pickpockets etc ... Brussels South is well known for it's pickpockets. On the other hand there is a lot to do in Brussels, beautiful parks, museums, lots of concert venues, bars, restaurants etc
I've read that there is a big issue around bullying in schools, maybe in schools that are predominantly comprised of non-Belgium's. What is your advice towards a parent with young children, we are moving from very safe places like Slovakia/Poland...
Fall and winter might be depressing but the weather here is definitely better than in the UK or northern Germany.
What's Parc d'Ardennes ?
It is a big forest that Belgium and France share :)
@@AlexandraTempleton It's not exactly near Brussels but indeed, it's very beautiful. Belgium is more than Brussels, Bruges and Ghent.
is the area near to Bizet metro station is safe for student.
implied "flashing" is a huge turn off. You can tell she is from the USA
Love your photography in the video. Though some more panoramic views would have been nice. WORD OF WARNING TO OTHERS: Avoid the Post Office use a private carrier like DHL, (they are located n most newsagents unlike the post office!) if you don't want to end up calling the police for the ensuing chaos that invariably arises by simply asking to be served. And I am not joking. They are not safe places. When a customer service staffer (in any shop) wants to be rude you to you, you must leave. You will not get anywhere with them AND they will call the police on you for daring to continue to talk to them. Train station customer service won't help you if you ask for advice. The travel ticket machines are difficult to use. The staff in the commune offices won't help you. Trying to buy a concert ticket - they will ignore you and let others jump the queue in front of you. I am talking about the Bozar ticket office. To be honest Brussels (and Belgium?) is rough. Violence can erupt anywhere - the shops, the street, at the transport stations, waiting for a tram. Youths will attack you. I NEVER went out at night. And I am male!! The police will arrest you for walking on the grass opposite the Kings palace. The noise of the garbage collectors is, in my opinion, criminal. They make their dump truck bang as loud as they can at 4.30am. Once they arrived at 3.30 am. The city's prices for food is, in my opinion, criminal. The tourism industry has been left unregulated with the result that tourists are allowed to be scammed. There is a large disregard for the law by most. Big cities attract chancers from all around the world and Brussels is no exception. The place is gorgeous in Summer (stay in the parks - go nowhere else!!) and bitter in winter. The place feels like the last stop on the train - where all the lost people end up. It is incongruous to me why and how Brussels has ended up as the EU city with so many EU institutions there. The country is badly managed with either a dysfunctional government or none! I actually asked about this and was told a committee (the founding members of the EU) chose Brussels because they couldn't decide on anywhere else! Belgium doesn't deserve to be in such a valuable, central location, in Europe. You can get anywhere in Europe in hours (by train or car) from there. Holland, adjacent country, is 100 times better. France - don't even think about going there. Italy? - worse than Belgium. Good luck if you go there. You will need it.
It is very refreshing to see an "expat" who is not bashing Brussels ☺️. Of course the city has its flaws (your criticisms are absolutely fair) but overall I think it is a good place to live.
Thanks Yumi! The city can be a really nice place to live if you choose to make it one :) Wishing you a nice day!
Nothing is vibrant and stimulating in and about Belgium. Old, old, boooooring. Belgian train services are the worst in Europe - google it yourself.
I like kettlebells!❤😂
I use kettlebells❤!
The 3-6-9 contract commitment engage you to find a new tenant for the landlord if you need to leave before the end of the contract.
Looks good. You can bake the meatballs separately first, 400 Fahrenheit about 20-25 minutes on a sheet pan/baking dish, then cook in sauce another 15-20 minutes for a nice brown and still very juicy meatball.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try that out next time I make these :) Have a nice day!
Can you be anymore cliche?
I can try- Stay tuned ;)
