I wouldn’t perform CPR through the heavy winter coat, additionally, doing it on the air pack is incredibly unstable. Where have you identified pulselsness while still wearing fire gloves and not exposing the neck or airway? We have trained so two people can removes SCBA pack and open coat in well under 10 seconds. The CPR on the undiagnosed patient gets in the way of that. Data demonstrates perfusion only begins once adequate pressure is built and maintained. This is why modern AEDs no longer require a stop in compressions and why hands only CPR or blow through oxygenation during CPR is more effective. The brief interlude of CPR over the coat doesn’t function long enough to build adequate pressure ( if it does you’re taking too long) it truly only makes the rescuer feel they are doing something dramatic to no real effect.

Where is the imperial data on how effective this CPR is? Ineffective CPR is as useful as zero CPR. WE WOULD NEVER PERFORM CPR through a heavy winter coat. Two trained firefighters can remove SCBA and open coat in a few seconds. I love the enthusiasm and thought process that goes into this type of training but without solid data on performance and perfusion this is an idea only and not sound evidence based practice.
I think you mean empirical, not 👑 imperial. I don't see your point. They did remove his scba and coat. What harm is it to throw in some compressions while doing so? Solid work.
But you would perform CPR thru a heavy winter coat until you were able to remove tat coat. This is no different. The coat doesn't effect the compressions, just your access to place AED pads.

Okay thank you, unfortunately I live in Las Vegas I’m driving out tomorrow to take the emt exam for Chula Vista! But it would be difficult to make it out again for the open house. Thanks a lot though

Congratulations, Ian, could not be more proud of you. Am disturbed that just because they held the event at a church, the uber Christian message was allowed to be so prominent. Religious freedom is mandated in this great country. Certainly not all the graduates or others in attendance identify as Christians.
