One down...30 to go 😂Good start mate. The bit you messed up recording...I've done the same. Uploading daily things have to just be good enough.
Thanks, how long since you were on a bike?
Been subscribed to Paul’s channel for a long time as you know he’s a very down to earth bloke from Sheffield, who very much like yourself seems to be always up for a challenge especially when Jo gives him a shove lol, perhaps you could get him on a Brompton bike camp during your video a day event.
Great idea
You're getting lots of erections lately 😂 how do you manage it?
I ride the Dawes Kalahari, almost identical but with basic front suss. Like you i carry front and back. I tour on it, commute daily and do all our shopping on it. Ten yrs old and the only thing i can really criticise is the chrome bends that feed the brake cable immediately before each brake mech have rusted. Dawes make great bikes for the money 😊👌
Useful video Andrew, thanks Also good comments from posters 👍
Ub_r, or walk home, I've never fixed a puncture at the road side!
I’ve fixed many. Often miles from home and normally fully loaded
The only thing I would add is a pair of surgical gloves. Keeps the hands clean.
Been enjoying your videos Andrew - thanks for putting them together. I have a 4 spd T Line (16 months now) and immediately fitted Continental Contact Urban tyres - they’ve been fantastic and I’m very pleased with their robustness over all sorts of surfaces.
the adapters for presta I always thread a bit of wire through it and hang it under my saddles, I dont loose then?
That’s a good idea, they do soon disappear into the bowls of bike stuff!
I always carry a set of tweezers for pulling out thorns, glass, etc. Before fitting a new tube. It's really useful in winter when your fingers are freezing.
Brilliant idea
I carry small nose pliers for the same thing
My 2019 Superlight, now below 9 kilo and still with mudguards, I have an original Tool Kit inside, which may be used with the cover as an extra handle! I have never used it for anything serious, but some adjustments though. Finn. Denmark
where can i buy?
I think they are in various sites online
I don't carry tyre levers as I have arthritis in my fingers so they are useless for me. I carry a Tyre Glider instead and with that I have no problem putting on or taking off tyres. However it did take some time at the start to learn how to use it properly.
I’ll have a look at them, thanks
How does the T line compares to the C line electric?
Each are very good in what they do, the electric is a fantastic accessory for mobility and the T is a brilliant bike for everyday movement although meeting different needs
I always carry a set of tweezers, to pull out thorns or glass etc.
Thank you for sharing it's an excellent fleet of bikes you have there, I really enjoy the builds you got there they're cool bikes,
There is a book called Cool Bikes
I knew you had some bikes, but wow!
Just scratching the surface lol
I got this for £200 on fb marketplace 🎉
That’s a result!
Great collection Andrew, and sounds like memories as well 👍 I don't feel as guilty now with five bikes in my garage 😀 I've always had a passion for bikes like yourself Andrew. Thanks for showing us your collection 👍
You're feeling better now then?😎
Yes thanks most of the time, that was lovely I had to get out and move around, making that appealed to my shoe size age!
So simple, and a delight for espresso/ice cream lovers.
So Andrew if you had to evacuate your house pronto with only one bike, which bike would it be (1 bike) ???
One in each hand, T-Line and ARCC, but if I got out that means there is chance to pop back in for the B75 and other ARCC,
@NottinghamshireMadness so it's the T line then ???
@@bromptinowner763 You know!
Nice eclectic collection Andrew not that dissimilar to my own lol!
Yes, I need to do more on e-bikes
@@NottinghamshireMadness ha ha yes that would be good but by eclectic I didn’t mean electric but varied lol but we’ve both had a good play on words and bikes great videos mate.
I built one like this but shortly rattled my front basket frame to pieces. Yours looks like a different design of basket frame. Did it come like that or is it a replacement / custom part?
It a whistl version, they have a different front frame and dynamo light, if you see one for sale bag it as most were never put to use as they never introduced their delivery service, I think it was part of TNT
Thanks! That’s great to know.
Hi Andrew, It was good to catch up, and sorry to hear you were poorly. Ros and I enjoyed chattong to you, You've convinced Ros about the T line 😁 Take care, get well and hope to catch up again next year.
I think like for like is the best match!
Hi Andrew, maybe the water or a bit of street food not agreed with you ?
@@user-hk3lr5pr5s I think it was something I picked up at home as I was feeling rough on the way down on Thursday
sorry you were poorly.
I'm usin the same bag. Its good to cross border travel.
Usual problem is not raising the seatpost enough to allow triangle to unfold 😂
When I took mine to my mechanic, the first time, I made that fault also, when trying to ride back!!
Amazing Andrew, thanks 👍
Nice to seeing you yesterday 👌
We haven’t heard much more of ‘John’ - what happened and did you vote him Out ?
Yes, one to put down to experience!
I used to have a Honda steed 600cc (shadow outside of Asia) and apart from when it was really dirty and needed a wash, I used lemon Pledge, sprayed on and polished off. Great for paint, chrome, plastic, vinyl, leather seats and hand grips, windshield, and also my leather jacket and chaps and big leather saddlebags I'd made too.❤😅
Hi I owned C line in Manchester and interested about your bike. How much are you selling for your bike?
As I said in the video £1000
@@NottinghamshireMadness thank you sir. Fair price
@@kingshum6938 Do you have a Brompton? There is a Manchester Brompton Group on Facebook
@@NottinghamshireMadness I have joined them but not many events.
@@kingshum6938 I has been a very slow take up, it only takes one person to lead a ride then others follow
Never heard if using mr sheen on bike paint but will give it a try next time im washing
How you getting with the saddle now ?
Better, now I’m determind to keep it
Nice bike you have
Watch out for the lube close to the brake surfaces. And I use to grease the bolts before tigthening, to be sure to take them loose again. On my Superlight I have changed the clamps on the mudguards to carbon and aluminum.Finn. Denmark
Lovely bike. memorries of many tours I bet
Yes very much, cleaning and going for a ride today was lovely, but I need to downsize!
Thank you i appreciate your video. What your opinion of the bike fitment after changing the midriser bar?
More sporty and more responsive. It’s a similar riding position as the S bar or flat bar Brompton but these turn up at the end, I find the hand position less stressful on my wrist.
@@NottinghamshireMadness noted. May i know your height pls?
@@hydaali6244 5’7’’
Worth it !!
I think so, let someone else have the use and fun from it, I’m getting to the age where it’s pointless having stuff sat in its box.
As an owner of a now much former than SuperlightM6LXBrompton, from 2019, I honestly wondered for what use I had the low gears, of my 6, till I met an absurd hill during a vacation, and had to walk on top, going up? It has now been rebuilt to below 9 kilo, still with mudguards and new carbon clamps holding the original titanium stays, as I have changed most/near all - loose parts on my bike to titanium and carbon! I would like to try a 12 speed, if not for anything but to assure my initial perception! But see to protect the inside of the frame from the strange holes by the hinges, as water and gravel may come in and on top of the Crank and ball bearings below the stem post! Finn. Denmark
I just treat the talk about holes as propaganda, all bikes are open to the crank, on a standard bike dropping oil down the seat tube lubricants the crank, on a cartridge BB it stops the threads corroding.
Did you hear about the Indian chief ? He was a tea totaller and he drowned in his own tee pee 😂 .
I have one in my room. At first I didn't realise that aluminium pans don't work but now you can get a steel platter that will convert any pan😊
Fire bucket for the car ?
It will take a bigger bucket than that!
We've been induction cooking for 12 years ...wouldn't have it any other way 😮 👍less risk of fire in a tent
Fascinating. Ta
I got a <20k mile tippy-top spec one of these for under £11500 though admittedly 2021 and no service history (NHS car so was serviced for sure). I love it. I think it looks way better than the 208 imo (almost no one agrees, which makes it cheaper) and performs identically. I just had a very enjoyable ride back through the mountains with a supercharged mini following me (he saw me launch out of a 20 zone and decided he wanted to play). Even keeping to the 50 mph limit and not being stupid, it was huge fun to drive around twisty roads, handled great and of course goes like stink from low speeds up to about 50, feeling lighter and more powerful than my previous car that had 50BHP more and weighed 200kg less. It also looks great in the two layer red - from the stone chips you can see it's actually like a toffee apple, translucent red over white. I much prefer that to the flatter colours some of the newer ones come in. Overall stlying to me suggests Audi on a really good day. As for the other cars that use the same powertrain - why does everyone want an SUV? They're just heavier, uglier and harder to park in cities.
Yes, yes, yes and yes! I much prefer it to the 208 too. It’s rekindled my love of driving
nice that you can charge at home i guess, or get it "free" as your overnighter (you don't say where you got free electric, and why) Next try and do it for £6.22 as 85p/kwh Also looking forward to your comparison of purchase costs, and insurance costs. cheers
EV charging was included in the price, as for where? Well it was after discussing it with the owner, it seems ’free’ electricity is more of a discussion by the anti EV brigade than the benefits of owning one
Nice and comfy looking. I hope you have agreat iime 🙂
Thank you
What's your height sir ? The seatpost is too high 😮
Yes, first ride but also on deck shoes, all set up now and thanks
A nice simple and practical solution to what you want. I like it mate, well done. And you don't try and oversell it. Keep posting...
Thanks
