How to increase Ph in your garden, put lime on PEONY and other flowers.
using a drop or rotary spreader, apply the limestone to your lawn or garden. Apply half while walking over your lawn in one direction, then apply the other half in a direction that is perpendicular to your first. This will ensure that every part of your lawn is covered with lime.
Lime is used to neutralize soil acidity, making nutrients like calcium, phosphorus, and potassium more available to the plant. Even if you regularly fertilize your garden with a nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizer like 13-13-13, if your soil is acidic, your plants will not be able to utilize those nutrients efficiently.
To distribute the lime, you'll need a spreader. You should also use gloves and safety goggles, since lime can irritate your skin and eyes.

Yes, you can plant potted tulips in the ground! Wait until they've bloomed and the petals have fallen. • @gardeningtipsandmore
      @gardeningtipsandmore Před měsícem

      at the start not much water is needed, but once the plant makes a lot of leaves, and they are in full sun, fully growing, more often they need to be watered. but ofcourse all depends on sunlight, temperature , how big the plant is and the size of the pot. typically they dont require a lot of water

    This is great info! The thing is, I live in a townhouse community where the grounds people basically prune to round out shapes, year after year with no eye toward actual care and esthetics, or preservation of the landscaping that is nearing 40 years old. I did brave clipping back one boxwood next to my door pretty severely a couple years ago and it recovered really well all things considered. However a couple of other nearby boxwoods have some sort of blight or die back that is never addressed and is probably being spread throughout the entire community with each pruning session. Any advice regarding possible treatment to save those shrubs, other than my clipping out dead sections until the plants finally give up the ghost?
