This channel discusses the various diecast cars and models I have. Most all of the cars I have in my collection I have seen in person, and I will also discuss the stories of the cars I have seen.
My model car collection is "famous"
I asked for and was granted the chance to write an article for an online car magazine. I think it came out great. The link is below, since I had no idea how to make a video of the article other than shooting the screen.

A well done model of the 2023 Le Mans winner, made by Bburago.

Sorry, it's been a bit since I posted. I recently picked up this rather wonderful model of a Mercedes Gullwing by Minichamps. I hope you enjoy it.

I think this is one of the prettiest Le Mans prototypes ever made. What do you think?

Let's have some fun and take a look at the coolest anime race car ever - Speed Racer's Mach 5, along with Racer X's car.

One of my favorite race cars, and a quality, older 1/18 model by I said it was an AutoArt, but that was a silly error.. Enjoy!
Jaguar E Type by Bburago

An oldie but goodie when it comes to Bburago. I've had this for over 20 years. Not the most detailed, but just a classic car which is a must for colectors.

A very nice resin model of one of the most exciting hypercars made today.

A model of the very limited edition car which was based on the Murcielago chassis. The model is in 1/18 scale.

First of all, thank you very much for my reaching 500 subscribers! Here is a review of a very nicely detailed model of the Lotus 99T as driven by Ayrton Senna, made by AutoArt.

Happy New Year to you! Thought I'd do a special video for you guys. If you want to see more details of these models I do have videos of all of them on this channel. Made a mistake - the Maserati Birdcage is by Minichamps, not AutoArt.
Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa by CMC 1/18 scale

A fantastic model with wonderful detail, as you would expect from CMC. I have a bit of a connection to this actual car as you will see in the video. I hope you have a Happy New Year!

I like posting videos of models of cars I have actually seen, like the "hippie" Porsche 917K and Martini 917Lh, the Camoradi Maserati Birdcage and so on. This is another car I've seen, and it was a Le mans winner.
Nice comparison on both models and HW did a better job at detailing than Bburago. I'm still confused on my own Hot Wheels 1/18 Testarossa because the interior is the same as to the Bburago model in the video even though it wasn't from a Hot Wheels Elite category.
those are some amazing photos. Great article, chuck
Thanks! I appreciate it.
Higher end Bburago? I have both. The one with standard packaging and the higher end packaging/display one (the one you have). The cars are identical. The difference is the presentation, unless I got ripped off. LOL. I also just got the Looksmart version, which blows Bburago away.
Bburago does make signature series models which have few extra details.
@traviswalker8933 I have been ripped off then or I don't notice shit hahahhahaha
Just bought this, can't wait to arrive. Gonna take it apart and sand down the tires
I think it'll look good with sanded down tires. They are a bit too shiny/placticky looking.
HY stands for Hypercar not for hybrid
Scale of the car?!
You can compare it to his hand - it will be 1/18. Bburago make it in 1/43 but the detail would be far lower.

It's very sharp, and the Bond tie in is always cool. I've been looking for one of these at a good price for a while now, and they're expensive on Ebay. I finally did find one that was affordable that has a small scratch on the left gas cap and no box for $100. That's not even cheap I know, that's a lot of money, but compared to what people are asking I can live with no box and a small flaw cause I wasn't ready to spend $200 or $300 so I compromised. The model is very clean the flaw is small, and for the price I don't care about the box. It's not yet but soon will be displayed.
I have gotten a few models with minor flaws and they do not detract from my enjoyment of the models. You'll enjot it because it is a very handsome model.
@@chucksdiecastcarandmodelre5172 I think so too, if you pay top dollar for something you want it flawless, but if you find a bargain, and you have satisfied yourself it will display well, it's a great way to fill in the collection and not break the bank. Most of us collectors aren't rich, so we have to collect a little at a time and try to find good deals along the way. My collection has a couple I paid a premium for, and a couple I got cheap, like my Beanstalk Green Jag from Die Another Day, not a great Bond film but a damn nice Bond car, with all kinds of hidden weapons, got it newish with no box on Ebay for $10. They're always way cheap on Ebay, but that was way way way cheap, lol.
@@chucksdiecastcarandmodelre5172 Here's a crazy story. So the guy that shipped me this model (without a box) somehow broke off the right side view mirror before packing it up. I couldn't believe it, so I wrote and told the seller about it and he gave me a full refund of $136 total and said keep the model. That was surprising, so I found a guy that knew a guy that makes 3D printed diecast parts and got a set of two replacement mirrors already in black. So somehow I ended up with this wonderful model for free and now I've got all 6 of the AutoArt James Bond cars, and that FINALLY includes this very beautiful and elusive unofficial Bond car. One more thought, I really like that it has the door window because it keeps the interior from getting really dusty, I wish more diecast cars were this way.
How did you open the hood i cant do it on my one
Its a model has no power😂😂...
I really enjoyed your comparison video, please do more :)
I just bought the same car! My back left wheel won’t move, do you know if that’s common?
Now I'll have to heck my car's left rear. ;-) I don't know if it's a common problem. It's still a great model regardless.
CMC make beautiful models, not all of their subjects are my taste, in my mind Auto Art models are just as good, they might not have the same weight but have all the detail, if sparks put the same attention to detail that they put into their 1.43 scale cars i think they would come out on top.
I do like the Autoarts that I have for sure, but this model is special.
Do all
The fact that the caliper is not perferated is crazy to me
Beautiful model, enjoyed the review
Nice!! I have the exact same model. It is one of the most iconic LeMans race cars of all time. 🥰👍🏼
Lovely thing. What a great model! You must really get the feeling it's the real thing. Lets the imagination run free. Love the ashtray and lack of seatbelts. So much more civilised. I've got a couple of SWB in 43rd scale. As time goes by I appreciate the look of the SWB more and more. Classy car. Obviously tbe GTO seems to get all the plaudits, but the predecessor is beautiful too. And was just as successful in racing.
I do love SWBs, but if given the option in real life I would go for a 275 GTB. I think it’s just beautiful. I hope to get the CMC model of that, but they are so pricey!
Your distorted reflection in the countach windscreen at 8:45 is hilarious
That is pretty funny. The Countach’s flat screen makes it one of the cars where you can get a reflection like that.
The one in For your eyes only was in dark Red or Bronze bodypanels. I didn,t like that they destroyed that Bond car and it was atwinturbo as well... i think
Yes - that really hurt to see!
What are the dimensions of the car? Thanks!
@@decathalon87 It is about 9 inches, or 23 cm long.
@@chucksdiecastcarandmodelre5172 I was going to say about 10 feet.
Got this one on the budget wish list! I remember when the actual car was released and it's chiseled lines inspired by the F22 Raptor. The color giving that extra stealthy look. Great review.
'Promo sm' 🙏
Are the CMR and WERK83 by Ck-Modelcars the same model just re-badged boxes, right?
I am sorry, I don't know if this is the case.
Looks cool. Love the yellow one!! 💛 😉
Ferrari 250 LM 12 Hours of Sebring 1965 #29 decals how to srche
Can you open the front boot?
I like it that you show older cheap models we owned as a kid in the 90's - 2000's. Im sad I missed the Autoart E-Type when it was around 250 euro, now they sell 400+ , so I probably will never own a good e-type 1/18 scale :( Kyosho is already overpriced (250 euro now) and seems bad next to the AutoArt version
This is a model from Exotto, none of the Autoart catologists have XJR 9.😅
You are right. It is an Exoto. My mistake. Thank you for letting me know.
There ia another bburago version with perforated front gril and more details
So front part doesn't open(?) Forgot to show underneath, but I assume its all flat?
6:40. 😂😂 Not for the C9 in a long straight line Im assume 😊. Thx for the vid, I didn't even know AutoArt did a xjr 9 , I tried to chase an exoto , could t find a cheap one...now I will look for an AutoArt, probably expensive to..😢
50 views by then, and I was first one giving it a like? Ooh dear...😢
i bought this one in red in St Louis 1993 I think. It was also the first diecast I ever bought. wish i still had it. it was poorly fit together up close but looked right from a distance. just wonder how you got such a glossy looking finish?
Definitely not the most detailed model for sure, but it's hard to find a nicer opening model that's reasonable. I think all the crud that was on it protected the paint ;-). I used Windex and a cotton ball to clean it and it came out pretty nice.
A very well made model by AUTOart, very detailed. Hard to find these days. I also love the engine bay, it looks really good. 😊👍🏼
Spectacular model and video. Thanks for sharing.....I do love the exhaust pipes, engine etc.....Great PU. Congrats. PS: How do they change the rear wheels?
Thank you very much for the nice review. You can't really see it on the model because of the paint thickness but there is a removable semicircular wheel cover over the rear tires.
"Enpire green" is the right Jag color, but ice blue was the best color on this car.
I do love the ice blue. The E Type was so gorgeous that I can't think of a color it didn't look good in.
How much is it?
It wasn't too expensive. I think I paid about $125.00 for it.
@@chucksdiecastcarandmodelre5172I think It is sold out. Because it says 1 year ago. And yeah it is not that expensive.
Nice model of the Jesko Absolut. 😊👍🏼
the best 1/18 diecast car i ever seen on this video kept it up ❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much!
Burago has been my first F40, then a kit, then Elite then Kyosho....another world....Burago in my hearth
The most important on both, no headlights right?
Unfortunately not. The Kyosho does have popup headlights though.
Great Job Chuck. Thanks for sharing.
Nice. Looks almost identical to mine, think mine is by Mondo, can't remember. Haha. 😅
Nice looking Ford GT in the Gulf paint scheme.
And what do you mean no Camel brand on it to be legal? Do you mean from a standpoint of AutoArt and the real one has Camel on or you mean the real one doesn't have it to? (Possibly because sponsering contract ended, but they kept color design). Thank you very much btw for this presentation. Greetings from Belgium
I looked at photos of the car from the Japanese GP and it had the Lotus markings and not Camel, so it appears that Japan banned cigarette advertising by this time.
@@chucksdiecastcarandmodelre5172 ok thx for the answer. That clearifys it.
OmG, I never know AutoArt had made f1 cars from 80-90's. How come I never saw them? Im always on eBay and online shops looking around what they got. AutoArt impresses me everytime with their older models. Im assuming this model was produced somewhere between 2008 and 2015 , a signature model?
I didn't know they made F1 cars either. I just found it on EBay a couple of weeks ago, and I'm very glad I did.
Very nice!! I have seen this model before, but didn't buy one. Now that you have shown the engine compartment, I'm in love with it. I should have bought it last time.
It makes no sense to make the interior on those models black, a lighter color would reflect light better to see the detail.
I'm not sure if the original car had a black interior.
Is this version more detailed than the Autoart version (first released in mid 2000s)?
I haven't seen the AutoArt version but I do think this is an excellent model.
Autoart better and more refine, I have the kyosho SV one , same as this in this video , but its the second release, not better then 1st release, some little costs mesures in quality of materials sadly. But still nice model, the Autoart version is quiet better and more premium but not by far
09:50 the horse is not nice! Its a produktion error.
Bburago Signature Line is the Premium line from Bburago, thats why the Prise is higer, Race and Play are the regular.
Who really gives a sod how good the interior is when you dont notice them when there in a showcase. its how the exterior of the car compares with the real car, that's what I think matters.
