If you want to completely avoid all roundabouts you can use the M1, A42, M42 then M40 however the M42 can get very busy sometimes around Birmingham

Different when i was younger, down Aylestone Rd hit the Roman Rd turn right then left on to Coventry. just over 1 hour no lights or rounder bouts.

Enjoyed your video. You could have gone a quicker way if you turned left at Torver (35:00). That road would have brought you to the t-junction (01:03)(A5092) and you would have saved 5-10 minutes on your journey. I know this because some of my extended family live in Coniston and that's the way they go if heading off in that direction. Cheers.
