The case of PAL : The service of PAL is considered polarizing since it was privatized in 1992 (The same year the late Fidel V. Ramos took power as president of the Philippines who is known for his Neoliberal policies which included privatization). Some say it's good others it's bad. The fingers will be always pointed at its majority owner Lucio Tan, who is one of the most controversial businessmen. Just like any businessmen in the Philippines, he cares about the profit rather than the service. The best way PAL to get better is Lucio Tan stepping down as PAL's majority owner and sell to investors who are willing to run the airline better.

I had my first time experience with PAL last 2022 from dammam to manila and have a video uploaded on my channel. The issue is NO IFE and leg room and seat itself is lilttle bit small compare to other airline that ive already boarded.

Cabin Crews of EVA Air of Taiwan are way nicer and friendlier than CX. Great review then! I will be flying CX to Jakarta this June 2024. Hope their crews has improved to be nicer.

Like it but the better option are the Taiwanese 星宇航空 Starlux & 長榮航空 Eva Air for CRK-TPE.

Thankfully I don't really fly PAL as they have no flights to Europe as I'm a Schengen Visa holder, prefer flying Korean Air to Seoul Incheon then a connecting flight via Finnair to Helsinki Vantaa as much of my travels are in the Nordic countries Norge 🇳🇴, Danmark🇩🇰, Suomi 🇫🇮, Sverige 🇸🇪 also in Deutschland 🇩🇪, Österreich 🇦🇹, France🇫🇷 . Recently read that the German flag carrier Lufthansa is soon returning their direct flights to Manila from Frankfurt, I used to fly with Lufthansa during my travels until they ceased flying to Manila in 2008 and used to be greeted by the cabin crew with Gruß Gott and Herzliche Willkommen am Bord as I speak German and are well known for their punctuality and efficiency.

Love it but for the Filipinos (宿霧太平洋公司/菲律賓航空🇹🇼🇭🇰 spelling for Cebu Pacific andPhilippine Airlines) they should know the Taiwanese (中華航空 China Airlines) have the better version of A321-271N in terms of interior. Learned this by asking Taiwanese and Hong kongers which one is the better airline between PR/5J vs CI in terms of A321-271N. To them they see it as this CI A321-271N > PR/5J A321-271N. When it comes to the other version A321-251Ns their answer is this JX🇹🇼 = CX🇭🇰> PR/5J🇵🇭.

I flew back to Vancouver on board PAL back in July, it was comfortable albeit of course noisy with the usual scream of babies etc, food you are right tho it is in DESPERATE need of revamping. I've flown with them since 2016 and it's been the same selection again and again, wish i had the chance to enter T1 as well as the one i usually go to is so old, the audio you recorded with is awesome tho! All i've flown in thus far has been 777's. 😄

When I was flying from Manila back to Vancouver I boarded from T1, would be nice to enter through this terminal next time for a change because it is SO much more organized and more modern! I see that they also did away with the double verification which was insanely annoying, LOVE flying PAL! Always such incredible service. 😊

They still use this garbage Boeing 777 plane between their busiest International routes (Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver) but use their best plane which is the A350 to New York which they only fly to 4x a week

Shanghai Airport is quite huge. Well, RP-C7777 is still sturdy but if it will stay longer with PAL, I hope they get a cabin refurbishment.

Since CX and PR have similar planes the CX versions of A321neo A330-300 B777-300/ER A350-900 and A350-1000s are better than their PR versions at all times. Easy way to do this is a combination of CX845/843 JFK-HKG pre covid-19 845 JFK-HKG or 899 EWR-HKG (A35k A359) transfer to CX907 A321neo back then a regional A330-300 to MNL vs PR version PR127 RP-C3501-3508 for the A359s or CX JFK/EWR-HKG then change to PR in HKG for their A321neo. Customer Service wise CX > PR

I recently flew with CX and some crew were not that friendly and they always hide in the galley. if ever you wonder they only serve bottled water, actually they can serve soda if ever the pax requested (that's what the crew told me)

I flew Cathay Pacific just recently from Brisbane to Vietnam via Hong Kong and they were awesome! Great food and service in economy. Comfortable seats. Very happy. Will fly Cathay again for future trips. ❤😀
